Members Jake907 Posted December 28, 2017 Members Report Posted December 28, 2017 I really like it, especially how you kept the tooling simple and tasteful. And those loops look spot on. Quote -Jake North Country Leather and Wool
bikermutt07 Posted December 28, 2017 Report Posted December 28, 2017 I love it. Looks very period. I didn't know heritage made a .357. How's the action? Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Members plinkercases Posted December 28, 2017 Members Report Posted December 28, 2017 nice looking rig....but it hides the gun! I like you combination of stamps fro the belt boarder tooling.... and that's a lot of stitching for the loops.. well done. The only thing that catches my eye by way of improving holster work is possibly tightening up the gap between the tooling , main seem stich line and edge of the pouch... holster tooling is nice too. is the little "face" on the strap a custom or combination of stamps? ...hard to tell. garypl Posted December 28, 2017 Report Posted December 28, 2017 Nice looking holster rig - can't believe you received the pistol on Christmas and have already completed this rig! I would still be contemplating what to do! What type leather and finish did you use? Gary Quote Cowboy 4500, Consew 206RB-4
Members dikman Posted December 28, 2017 Members Report Posted December 28, 2017 Nice job. From an aesthetics viewpoint I would agree with plinkercases - I reckon the top of the holster front should curve down a bit, it would show more of the gun and break up the straight edge. Lot of work in the stamping. Quote Machines wot I have - Singer 51W59; Singer 331K4; Seiko STH-8BLD; Pfaff 335; CB4500. Chinese shoe patcher; Singer 201K (old hand crank)

But im starting to experiment with carnauba creme and a better oil dye. 5 hours ago, dikman said: Nice job. Members dikman Posted December 29, 2017 Members Report Posted December 29, 2017 Don't feel bad, with every holster you make you learn a bit more. (I know I do!). Nice mark you have for yourself. There should be a rule on here where anybody that shows a holster or sheath must also show at least one picture of the gun or knife that goes in it! Lots of us like guns and knives almost as much as we like leather! In any case, nice lookin' rig! Bill Quote
