Members Brianm77 Posted February 2, 2018 Members Report Posted February 2, 2018 Is there anybody here that does not use all of their scrap and would like to get rid of some?
Members lazyd Posted February 7, 2018 Members Report Posted February 7, 2018 Yes, I have some I could sell or trade. But I am in South Dakota...???
Members cowboycolonel Posted February 7, 2018 Members Report Posted February 7, 2018 I have sent boxes of the stuff from Arizona to Tennessee to Canada. How much do you want and what size do you need?
Members cowboycolonel Posted February 7, 2018 Members Report Posted February 7, 2018 It's the fleece. "wool" is the fuzzy part,, "fleece" includes the skin.

If this is what folks are using to apply dyes and finishes, I would love some. Glad to pay for smallish pieces. Is 10 pounds of it too much to have on hand?
Members Stetson912 Posted February 7, 2018 Members Report Posted February 7, 2018 Hey @bikermutt07 I got some from the colonel myself and haven't touched it yet. It's still in the box haha. Mine was about 5 lbs. So10 lbs will last you a good while I think. I will be using it for antiquing and finishing. I just haven't done any for a while makes me sad.
Members cowboycolonel Posted February 9, 2018 Members Report Posted February 9, 2018 ... and use Nitril gloves when applying dyes so your hands don't come out the same color as what you're dyeing.
Rossr Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 hmm I could use some for putting on dyes hmmmm
Members Stetson912 Posted February 11, 2018 Members Report Posted February 11, 2018 That's a pro tip from cowboycolonel guys! Seems simple right? Yeah, I once dyed my hands black because I thought gloves are for wimps! Not true, walking around with black hands, that's a bit embarrassing haha.
