Jetdoctorbox Report post Posted March 5, 2018 My wife benefits from my love of leathercraft once again. Every time I get a new pattern, by her request, she gets the first one off the assembly line. She gets a lot of use out of this veg tanned long wallet I made just over a month ago. I recently started applying leather dyes with an airbrush as I did with this wallet. This has become my favorite way to apply dyes and coatings because of the good looking results.
Rockoboy Report post Posted March 5, 2018 I like it. Very neat, nice and smooth. I can see why she likes to use your offerings.

garypl Report post Posted March 5, 2018 Nice looking wallet - where did you get the pattern? I have also switched to applying dyes and finishes with an airbrush - less waste and good results! Gary
Jetdoctorbox Report post Posted March 6, 2018 I got the acrylic pattern from a company called MakeSupply in Philadelphia. The web site is: www.makesupply-leather.com. They have an array of really nice pattern of which I own several. Here is a pic of the front of the wallet. It comes in 2 different styles.
Mattsbagger Report post Posted March 6, 2018 I have that pattern in digital download. Where the bill slots are square on the end I made them round. It's cleaner to cut and burnish. Also the digital is free. I have other acrylics of his too.

Mattsbagger Report post Posted March 6, 2018 That airbrush really was a game changer for my dye jobs.

I picked up a Neo for IWATA airbrush and a compressor and never looked back. It’s somewhat of a beginners set up but it couldn’t work any better for doing dye jobs. The results I’m getting now far surpass using sheep’s wool and sponges.
