Moderator immiketoo Posted April 27, 2018 Moderator Report Posted April 27, 2018 One of our customers wanted a Greek Medusa holster. This artwork is from an historical relic carving and the lettering is an ancient alphabet. Quote
garypl Posted April 27, 2018 Report Posted April 27, 2018 That’s pretty cool Mike! The leather is so grainy - what type leather are you using? Gary Quote
ABHandmade Posted April 27, 2018 Report Posted April 27, 2018 (edited) Mike, did I understand correctly that you use in this work a beveler without carving? And I join Gary in the question of leather. Looks very good! Andrey. Edited April 27, 2018 by ABHandmade Quote

Moderator immiketoo Posted April 27, 2018 Author Moderator Report Posted April 27, 2018 I do it all the time on fine details. I didn't read his question like that though. The runes are not cut, only beveled. Quote

Because I did not see the traces of a cut on the runes. Mike confirmed that this is the case. Thank you! Quote

But on the runes there is clearly a very smooth difference in heights, which is usually achievable only in the case when the leather is not cut. I wanted to check if my guess is correct. Quote

It is exactly that I do not see any obvious traces of the leather cut and caused my admiration for your professionalism. Edited April 27, 2018 by ABHandmade Quote
