bikermutt07 Posted May 6, 2018 Report Posted May 6, 2018 Great job. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
garypl Posted May 6, 2018 Author Report Posted May 6, 2018 Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I want to keep tweaking the design to improve it and get to the point where I can maybe sell some at the local growler stores around here. Gary Quote Cowboy 4500, Consew 206RB-4
Members kiwican Posted May 6, 2018 Members Report Posted May 6, 2018 How did you do the seam of the body. Quote

It’s just overlapped and glued, with the outer trim strip going up over the seam for extra reinforcement. The top and bottom trim strips reinforce the top and bottom edges. This is the first time I have not sewn the side seam, so I am curious if it will hold up as well as the ones I sewed. I think it will, but my nephew will test it for me and report back how well it withstands usage! Gary Quote Cowboy 4500, Consew 206RB-4
