Hi - I'm just starting out. I'm a Brit living in NZ since 2008 but really missing quality leather work I used to have in the UK with my horses and dogs. I'm a nana on a mission. I'm busy sourcing tools and ideas and can't wait for my very own shed to be built and kitted out as my  workshop. Any day now! I hope to learn from all of you and, hopefully, shares some of my ideas once I've mastered a couple of basic skills.

I'm on a very important journey as I set myself up for retirement from 40 years of teaching in 2020. Please join me!

Welcome aboard, Kiwi.

I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with.

Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day.

From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.

I only have a handful of these ( the ridgy didgy's ) ,  but about 8 sets of the Boss Buttons.

Look forward to seeing your work

Hi - thanks for that link. I've just picked up a whole bunch of Craftool USA tools. I'm going a bit OCD with it all I'm afraid!

There's a bloke in UK who bought up a heap of new old-stock from some place that was closing down. I found him on eBay, and I have bought a heap from him.

Kindest regards

Brian

@Kiwistitcher You should also check out Birdsall Leather in New South Wales. They have a heap of stamps, some discontinued and some new designs, from $3.00 per stamp if you buy 10 at a time.

Kindest regards

Brian
