Members Jazznow Posted May 20, 2012 Members Report Posted May 20, 2012 (edited) Hi Folks I Have Seen those green cutting mats in a few of your workshops now. I know them cause my girlfriend is quilting and uses them for cutting fabric with a rotary cutter. I always thought about using one for cutting leather but was afraid I would damage the mats, since cutting leather needs more force and the blades are sharper. What are your experiences with thos mats? Do they work? Do you have to be careful not to cut through them? How long can u use them before you have to replace them? Members ProCreationz Posted June 24, 2012 Members Report Posted June 24, 2012 (edited) First post here. I love this site!! My brain is overwhelmed with the new things I have learned from fellow crafters. The bar area in my unfinished man-cave is where I am currently set up. I took this pic today. It is a bit messy at the moment because this is where it all happens. I have just finished 2 cool projects - a Drum Stick Quiver that attaches to a set, and forearm gauntlets carved with a cool CFH design that was made by a graphic artist that will do the final painting work. I'll post those in the critique forum soon. I have been looking at some of these fabulous workshops here and have many ideas in how I am going to build out my long term workshop. Thanks for all of the ideas! Chris Edited June 24, 2012 by ProCreationz Quote Chris
