Hi folks,

Any other scouters our there.  My oldest son is a boy scout now and I am trying to figure out what color the green is on the meritbadge borders.  I own a singer 29k and I have red white, and tan so no issues there but I cant seem to figure the best green color.  I almost pulled the trigger on one color on the thread exchange.  But figured someone might know.  Thanks for any thoughts...and yea I know its not leather but...hey I got a patcher so why hand stitch these :)

Thanks

Can you take a patch to your local thread supplier, and colour match it by eye?

Kindest regards

Problem I have is I know I would want 69 thread to put in my patcher.   Mostly near me (rural area) in the big town 30 mins away is a joann fabric.   While Im sure i can match a color there I know they wont have it in 69 size.  I will probably check at some point.

I suggest you google Pantone color. Pick your color and then ask your thread supplier

if they can match it.  Another way is go to a paint store and match your item

and mail chip to thread supplier.   My last choice is 3 spools of poly

home machine thread most cases it will work on a patcher.  good luck

I have a few spools of green thread, don't know if they will match what you are looking for, but if you discover what the color is called, I'll look to see if the greens I have will match.  Could send you some at that point.
