Members Joshstrange Posted April 1, 2019 Members Report Posted April 1, 2019 What weight leather do you guys use for bullet loops I've seen where some have used 2-3 oz but that seems to light for a rifle round and 7-8 oz seems to be over kill i'm leaning towards 4-5 or 5-6 what are your opinions. Thanks in advance. Quote
Contributing Member Samalan Posted April 1, 2019 Contributing Member Report Posted April 1, 2019 I use 3 to 4 oz works good for me , i like to add one four once thickness to overall case thickness for the distance apart with 277 thread top and bottom . for the diagonal i cut a grove so the stitching is flush only takes a second and works great sorry got long on that one . Members Hildebrand Posted April 1, 2019 Members Report Posted April 1, 2019 Just worked on 3 tonight. I use 4-5 oz for the loops. Todd Quote
Members Chakotay Posted April 3, 2019 Members Report Posted April 3, 2019 4 oz is what I normally use. I buy sides especially for this. You can also adjust the width. Usually I make them around 3/4 inch, but lately I've been making my cartridge loops about an 1 inch wide. Quote
