Members jcuk Posted May 5, 2019 Members Report Posted May 5, 2019 Found this on Ebay, never seen this splitter model before, does anyone know the maker? I don't need another splitter, and looks like it needs some work, maybe a good restoration project for someone - just not me. Click here to see the item All the best JCUK Quote

Members Matt S Posted May 5, 2019 Members Report Posted May 5, 2019 Hmm, a collection of unnecessarily complex forgings and castings that form a machine that performs a simple task. Every part is ungainly and badly proportioned but together, while certainly not pretty, it has a certain gawky beauty. Looks British to me. Quote

Sounds like that description could fit a Marina. :) ..or an Allegro..apart ( in both those cases ) from the "gawky beauty" bit. :) Edited May 5, 2019 by mikesc Quote

Lister diesel engines, Webley revolvers, Land Rovers, the English Electric Lightning, cylinder bed Singer 45ks... there's a long list. Quote
