Members corkscrew Posted July 1, 2019 Author Members Report Posted July 1, 2019 The stool I use is found at Walmart. See below. the leather is 6 oz. cut about 1 1/2" bigger all around. I then skive it down thinner to allow it to roll over the edge and staple it to the bottom of the removable seat. Pick or draw a picture, transfer it to the leather. Carve it, paint and/or dye, put a finish on it and staple it to the seat and re-attach the seat to the stool. This one has 60 flat rivets on it to give it some more flare. Thanks for looking! Members Rbarleatherworks Posted July 3, 2019 Members Report Posted July 3, 2019 Thanks for sharing How did you make the marks between the rivets? They look like they are cut in in some spots and maybe stamped in in others? Quote
Members YinTx Posted July 4, 2019 Members Report Posted July 4, 2019 Yeah, that is pretty cool! And I think I have some of those stools... maybe time for some practice tooling... YinTx Quote
Members corkscrew Posted July 8, 2019 Author Members Report Posted July 8, 2019 The lines that intersect at the rivets were made with a swivel knife. Thanks Quote
