Hello.

Recommended Posts

Have just joined up so thought I would introduce myself, I have a fondness for older machine and own a singer 29k, always wanted another sewing machine that was more capable for what I intend to do, so when this singer 45k56 came up for sale I had to grab it, it is a lovely machine and a bonus that I know the history of it.

What I don’t know is where to find a manual for it, so in the practical way I usually do things I took it apart a bit to see what the mechanics were, I sort of know a bit more about it’s workings now and have it sewing quite well, I have not cleaned it up as it’s all honest grime and I love the originality of it but will at some point rub an oily cloth over it but that is about all.

Thank you for letting me join this great group I have learnt lots already and am enjoying reading the posts and seeing others work, I aspire to one day make something noteworthy.

My mistake, I thought that was what you were looking for. So, you are looking for an Operators Manual?

Thank you Rockoboy, yes an operators manual would be good but not drastically important as I already know how to use it, I took it apart to find out how it worked lol.
