Members DarrelT Posted July 30, 2019 Members Report Posted July 30, 2019 I made this for a friend of mine. It's from one of Hahns Atelier's patterns. Pretty easy project. The side stitching method was new for me. I'm not sure what it's called, but it's not saddle stitching. I might make another one with a tuck lock instead of a snap. I think that might work better. Different look too. Quote
Contributing Member Bob Blea Posted July 30, 2019 Contributing Member Report Posted July 30, 2019 Nice and simple looking, and good stitching. What is the stitching on the bottom for? Is that attaching some sort of reinforcement that makes it hold it's shape? Quote
Contributing Member fredk Posted July 30, 2019 Contributing Member Report Posted July 30, 2019 Yeah, Wot he says, I too was wondering about that stitching on the bottom, but I think I can see another layer inside the bottom (?) I'd agree that a snap isn't right, a magnet lock or a tuc Quote
Members DarrelT Posted July 31, 2019 Author Members Report Posted July 31, 2019 Thanks. It was a fun project. There’s a 2nd layer in the bottom. Call it a gusset. It helps define the shape. Without that I think the clutch would fold up like an envelope. Quote
Members YinTx Posted August 3, 2019 Members Report Posted August 3, 2019 Pretty cool. What does the back look like? YinTx Quote
