Simplejack1985 Report post Posted August 19, 2019 Just finished her up. Light brown body with black trim. Double stitched saddle tacs, double snaps and a removable dangler. I used natural snow Seal. Its dark right now but the brown will lighten up over time. Its ready to wet mold.
Hildebrand Report post Posted August 19, 2019 Just curious why you would put the snow seal on before wet molding? Won't the snow seal reduce the amount of water the leather can take in. Todd
TargetRockLeather Report post Posted August 19, 2019 Great looking sheath, but you broke one of the rules here. You need to show the steel that goes with it! One question; wouldn't it make more sense to wet mold it before applying the snow seal?
Ragingstallion Report post Posted August 19, 2019 you are going to have a hard time wet molding it if you used snow seal. That is used to waterproof and protect the leather. i use it on my hats for keeping my head dry for when it rains and snows. you will probably have to use cleaners on the leather to be able to get the wet forming
