Contributing Member JLSleather Posted September 15, 2019 Contributing Member Report Posted September 15, 2019 Okay, I'll be the broken record "dummy" .... before we get adjusting and turning screws and settings ... are we SURE we don't just have that cover plate cocked at an angle causing it to bind on the thread at 11 0'clock position? Those screws look like they're backed out quite a bit. Quote "Observation is 9/10 of the law." IF what you do is something that ANYBODY can do, then don't be surprised when ANYBODY does.
CowboyBob Posted September 16, 2019 Report Posted September 16, 2019 (edited) Before you start turning any screws are you sure it's threaded correctly & do you hold on to the needle thread for the first 3-4 stitches? You also need to stop & start sewing the the thread take up lever(chrome piece with an eye you thread through) all the way @ the top of it's stroke. Members Bert51 Posted September 16, 2019 Members Report Posted September 16, 2019 Have you checked the timing of the needle and the Shuttle. I just looked at my Adler 105 and mine the timing seems different. Bert. Quote
Members CarlosURSUS Posted September 17, 2019 Author Members Report Posted September 17, 2019 PROBLEM SOLVED. First of all thank you all for your help again... The machine is perfectly thread and nothing is cocked... And now is alive again. In the attached photograph you can see the screw that was causing me a headache... That little -CENSORED- was really little bit loosened (I don't know the reason) and stood out from the shuttle (less than a milimeter), causing it to get stuck. By the way: the Uwe's video about timing a Cowboy CB4500 and the PDF's of the Juki 441 aren't exactly valid for a CB3200 cause certain parts aren't the same, although I suppose they are good to guide in the process If you know the differences... Contributing Member JLSleather Posted September 17, 2019 Contributing Member Report Posted September 17, 2019 Thanks for poppin' in to fill us in. AMAZING how many people come begging free advice, then once their issue is fixed either disappear until next time they want something, or actually set up a web site offering to SELL the same info they got handed FREE. Members jimi Posted September 17, 2019 Members Report Posted September 17, 2019 I think you did not understand what jeff was saying??? he said 34 minutes ago, CarlosURSUS said: Thanks for poppin' in to fill us in meaning thanks for letting us now what the problem was, then he said there are a lot of people who do not do that (come back and tell what the problem was after asking advice here), he was not referring to you carlos. Members Bert51 Posted September 18, 2019 Members Report Posted September 18, 2019 I have not had one of those little screws come loose on me, maybe a drop of Loctite or similar would make sure it dose not happen again? Bert. Quote
Members CarlosURSUS Posted September 19, 2019 Author Members Report Posted September 19, 2019 Good idea @Bert51 Quote
