Sofaspud Report post Posted October 2, 2019 I just finished making this for a guy at work. It holds 20 rounds of 45/70 Government. The main body and billets are 8/9 oz. lined with 2/3 oz. Veg tan. Cartridge loops are 2/3 oz. Tooling was dyed using Fiebings tan oil dye with fiebings dark brown antique, the main part is Fiebings Show brown. The lining was left natural. All finished with Resolene and carnuba wax. Stitches at 7 per inch with 1 mm braided polyester thread. This project was a lot of fun. Only the second time I've made a ranger belt or done cartridge loops.

noobleather Report post Posted October 3, 2019 Great work on that belt, carving and colouring looks great.stitching on the loops looks really solid.20 rounds of 45/70 must weigh a bit and the thickness will support that weight and keep the bullets from being knocked around
