Does anyone have or know where I could obtain a shoulder holster pattern for a uberti / ruger birdhead 45LC.  I have seen many makers of this pattern but have not been able to find one online anywhere thus far.  I have attached a pic of the style I am looking for.  Anyone's help sure would be appreciated.

   thank you...

This info it should help you, seems the uberti is a colt clone so any pattern for the colt single action army could be adapted.  "This is the ideal concealable revolver for today’s Western enthusiast. The bird’s head grip design has been incorporated into Uberti’s Cattleman series of 1873 Single Action Army revolvers in both standard and Stallion designs."

IIRC John Wesley Hardin was well known for carrying his revolver in an "Underarm rig". Haven't seen a period shoulder holster but holsters sewn onto suspenders were used to carry slim single shot pistols.

The Birds Head grips were really only used on the Colt double action revolvers, the .38 caliber "Lightning " and the .41 caliber "Thunderer". Both came in a short barreled "Sheriffs Model" which would be perfect for this holster design.

I don't doubt that aftermarket grips could be had even back then, but I haven't seen a Birds Head grip on a antique SAA yet.

Tandy has a book of patterns that includes a shoulder rig.  It can be found on their library and is free.  There are a number of other patterns in the book.
