Members dfrensdorff Posted February 10, 2020 Members Report Posted February 10, 2020 I recently made a split ear headstall with matching set of split reins for a customer. He wanted them for a new custom handmade bit he got from a maker in CA. Heave Hermann Oak harness, with a custom center bar buckle. Quote

Members dfrensdorff Posted February 10, 2020 Author Members Report Posted February 10, 2020 Thank you. Most all of my tack is made for working cowboys. Quote
rktaylor Posted February 11, 2020 Report Posted February 11, 2020 I really like that headstall. Clean and ready to use for a really long time. Randy Quote
Members dfrensdorff Posted February 11, 2020 Author Members Report Posted February 11, 2020 Thank you .... I make one in a browband style with the same leather. Nothing fancy .... simple, made with great leather .... unless a customer wants really nice buckles. I just finished one up with stainless cart buckles and it will be a working cowboy headstall. Members Cattledude Posted February 11, 2020 Members Report Posted February 11, 2020 Nice! I like where you placed the buckle... If it's too high, it is in the horses eye, may not matter to some, but it's something I look for in a headstall. Good job! Quote
Members jcuk Posted February 11, 2020 Members Report Posted February 11, 2020 Good to see working tack being shown nice work JCUK Quote
