DanishMan Report post Posted March 6, 2020 Dear friends I am going to paint a PFAFF 335, that I bought recently. Pretty shitty conditions. Can anyone hear maybe reveal, what the PFAFF colour is called, when using hammerite paint? Brgds DanishMan
Constabulary Report post Posted March 7, 2020 (edited) I haven´t seen any paint that is close to the brownish original Pfaff hammertone - at east on "our side" of the pond. If you want to use Hammerite (as a brand) I would probably choose gold. But you never know how good (how golden) it turns out at the end. So my preference is silver hammertone, that always looks good. Edited March 7, 2020 by Constabulary
Pintodeluxe Report post Posted March 7, 2020 Rust-Oleum hammered oatmeal is a pretty good match to the typical gold/brown/silver Pfaff color. It's close enough that you can feather into unpainted areas and it will look good. The color match is better than what the cap would indicate.

Pintodeluxe Report post Posted March 7, 2020 No, the flywheel is just the factory primer. I didn't paint anything on the front of that machine, but I've used it on parts and other machines. Cheers
Bert51 Report post Posted March 8, 2020 It looks like you may have tried a test spray on the flywheel, if you put the cap next to the flywheel, I think it would be a perfect match. I know it will look real good when finished. Bert.
Pintodeluxe Report post Posted March 8, 2020 (edited) This is a Pfaff lifter arm off the back of the machine. The left side of the part is factory paint, while the right side is Rust-Oleum Hammered Oatmeal. I think it matches pretty good. If nothing else you gotta love the name hammered oatmeal! Sounds like the latest vegan craze. Edited March 8, 2020 by Pintodeluxe

Constabulary Report post Posted March 8, 2020 The tone seems to be ROSEMARY, right? I cannot find it on my side of the pond - maybe DanishMan has more luck.
Pintodeluxe Report post Posted March 8, 2020 To my eye it's a bit of silver, a bit of gold, and a bit of brown. Rust-Oleum used to make a hammered Rosemary color that was a dead ringer for the Gray/Green Juki color.
