Northmount Posted June 5, 2020 Report Posted June 5, 2020 @AlbertoE Moved your post to Leather Sewing Machines. You'll get more help here. You need to provide more information for someone to be able to help you. What are you sewing, how thick, what needle and thread size? Have you cleaned out around the bobbin and hook? Maybe even a photo or two showing how far through the cycle before it gets hard to turn. Is the needle just starting to rise when it gets hard to turn? Providing this info and any other oddity that you notice will help others help you. Tom Quote
Members Bert51 Posted June 6, 2020 Members Report Posted June 6, 2020 (edited) Could be several things wrong, but you need to check that the machine has not been knocked and bent a shaft, that can be done with a dial gauge on the hand/belt pulley or looking at something underneath bent or rubbing or over tight. Take your time check and oil all moving parts. Bert. Edited June 6, 2020 by Bert51 Quote
ljk Posted June 6, 2020 Report Posted June 6, 2020 I would check proper needle position, may be to far down. Loosen gib screws on hook and see if rotation changes. Check belt for obstruction. Remove throat plate to see if hook rotates normally. If non of these help pull belt off bottom sprocket and rotate upper and lower shafts to find blockage. Next next next If you are not experienced go no farther and re post for help if you have found blockage. tx Lynn Quote
