Members Parott1 Posted August 27, 2020 Members Report Posted August 27, 2020 Does anyone know where I can find the drop down guide for a cb4500 with a flat edge guide? The only guides I can seem to find come with the roller edge. My machine isn’t predrilled for the drop down guide, so I need to drill holes as well. Is there an after market knob that will work with the lifting mechanism since the stock one is kind of bulky? thank you Quote
CowboyBob Posted August 27, 2020 Report Posted August 27, 2020 Jude, Uwe makes these up.https://uwe.store/collections/featured-items/products/ux441-manual-foot-lift-extension-lever Or you could just always use the foot lifter which works easier for me. Members Joon1911 Posted August 27, 2020 Members Report Posted August 27, 2020 (edited) Uwe also sells an edge guide that comes with both the roller and flat edge guide. It’s the same one I use made by Kwok Hing https://uwe.store/collections/edge-guides/products/ug441k-edge-guide-kit Edited August 27, 2020 by Joon1911 Typo Quote "Make every product better than its ever been done before. Members dikman Posted August 27, 2020 Members Report Posted August 27, 2020 I made a simple bracket to attach the edge guide using the existing holes as I couldn't see the point in drilling extra holes. My edge guides came with a small fitting to replace the roller and provide a straight edge, although it's pretty short. Didn't yours have this? I also made a lifter extension, like Uwe's, but found it was a nuisance to use, so I made up a lever system to use a left-foot-operated lever. As Cowboy Bob said it is easier to use (given the heavy springs in the 441 machines). I've posted photos in assorted threads.
