Members ThoughtFission Posted October 31, 2020 Members Report Posted October 31, 2020 Could anyone tell me what the correct name for this is? I want to make my own stitching pony out of walnut or ebony. But I'm not sure where to source this part because I don't know term to use in my search? Thanks! Quote
Contributing Member fredk Posted October 31, 2020 Contributing Member Report Posted October 31, 2020 That looks like a bespoke piece but I reckon a ball-head from a camera tripod could do the job. Use a heavy weight duty one from the likes of Manfrotto Quote Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..

Members slipangle Posted November 1, 2020 Members Report Posted November 1, 2020 The ball head itself is standard stuff. From the ball upwards, however, that shaft and the fitting attached to it, with hinge, is a custom piece. The outfit making those swivel mount stitching ponies likely had it made specifically for this purpose, their design. Quote
