Members jadub Posted December 1, 2020 Members Report Posted December 1, 2020 Hi, I’m just looking for some thoughts regarding a good servo motor to replace the clutch on the Pfaff 1245-706/05 I just picked up. Great thanks to all the wise people here who spend their time helping new comers such as myself! Quote

I also use the both types of speed reducers shown on the same page. I am able to sew at 1.5 to 2 stitches per second without the reducers (depending on the diameter of the balance wheel pulley), or about the speed of grass growing with them. Quote

Members chrisash Posted December 1, 2020 Members Report Posted December 1, 2020 I am happy with my Jack servo, and as a bonus spare parts are available at Collegesewing.co.uk including replacement PCB board and speed controller which is unusual these days both at reasonable prices Quote
DonInReno Posted December 2, 2020 Report Posted December 2, 2020 For about $300 delivered, this motor available at Keystone Sewing is my new favorite. It produces 1100 watts, which isn’t needed for most things, but it provides twice the torque at slow speeds as a servo of normal size. Twice the torque at the lower speed range is huge. It also comes with a super small pulley for max speed reduction. https://store.keysew.com/sp-1100-npfl Quote
