I just adopted Darla the Juki LS 341, but your shop seems closed. Desperate here ! @nlopezdearenosa Take a look at this alternative for sale on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1222743460/mini-topstitching-table I’ve not used it myself, but it has good reviews and looks like a very nice flatbed attachment. Members CBaker Posted May 2 Members Report Posted May 2 (edited) Has anyone found an alternative table attachment since both links listed in this thread are no longer active? I have a Juki LS-341N. The shop I bought the machine from only had some huge, bulky, hard to put on/take off option so I passed. Looking for a nice sleek option like these. Thanks. Edited May 2 by CBaker Quote
Members Constabulary Posted May 2 Members Report Posted May 2 If you are a DIY guy you can make one your self. I once made one for my Singer 45D91 but the Idea was stolen from LW member UWE. Just an idea. 😉 Quote ~ Keep "OLD CAST IRON" alive - it´s worth it ~ Machines in use: - Singer 111G156 - Singer 307G2 - Singer 29K71 - Singer 212G141 - Singer 45D91 - Singer 132K6 - Singer 108W20 - Singer 51WSV2 - Singer 143W2
Members eblanche Posted May 2 Members Report Posted May 2 Recent Relics Design on Etsy has some nice looking options that work for the ls-341. I do not have first hand experience though. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1628261312/folded-edge-cylinder-arm-table-read-the?ref=shop_home_feat_2&bes=1&sts=1&logging_key=df14ac46157a5699adef0f95481e19144bc0bbad%3A1628261312 Quote
Uwe Posted May 3 Author Report Posted May 3 (edited) I got an aluminum table for my Juki LS-341 from RecentRelics on Etsy. It’s a very nice table and with some upgrade modifications, it’s rock solid and takes seconds to install or remove with a single thumb screw. I was not a fan of the 3D-printed bits that came with the table attachment, so I replaced the one for the thumb screw with a small aluminum plate, and the arm wedges with a custom-molded J.B. Weld SteelStik saddle. The round magnetic tray insert for needles or clips can be found at most hardware stores. J.B. Weld is a steel reinforced epoxy putty for making repairs to metal parts. It’s a miracle in stick form. You tear off a part of the stick and knead it to activate it. You can file, drill, cut just like metal when it’s hardened. I used half a stick on either side of the arm. Here’s how the table attachment arrived, including the 3D printed parts (You can’t see the arm wedges on the underside of the table.) Here are few pics of my modified table attachment: This is the J.B. Weld SteelStik saddle. I wrapped the arm with kitchen plastic cling wrap, then in stalled the table and pressed half a stick of J.B. Weld in the gap on either side of the arm. It sticks really well to the aluminum table (but not the plastic wrap) and it conforms perfectly to the arm, paint/casting dimples and all. I filed some edges down a bit by hand. Members friquant Posted June 28 Members Report Posted June 28 The single thumb screw sounds great! My plexiglass table I still need to do some filing on to get it to sit completely flush. But now I know what to do if I file too far...Steel Stik 😺 Quote In search of the perfect hundred-dollar servo motor with needle positioner. friquant. Pronounced "FREE-kwuhnt"
