Members Carrie88 Posted February 13, 2022 Members Report Posted February 13, 2022 Hi, can anyone tell me if this motor is worth anything? would someone reuse this? I took it off my machine as replaced with a servo. The clutch motor was way too fast and powerful for me. The original motor worked fine at the time. I just don't want to throw it out if it has a use. Thanks for advice.
Northmount Posted February 13, 2022 Report Posted February 13, 2022 (edited) Keep your ears and eyes open. Now and then you will hear of someone looking for a clutch motor. I had one a few years ago, and a fellow wanted one, so offered it to him. He was pleased to get it. Edit: Gave it to him, better than dumping it. Edited February 13, 2022 by Northmount Clarified gave it away
Members DrmCa Posted February 13, 2022 Members Report Posted February 13, 2022 Not worth more than its price in "motors" at the local scrap yard unless you come across someone who badly wants a clutch motor and is in a pinch. I'd been trying to sell a few of them for $20-40 a piece for 10 years than gave up. Machines: Mitsubishi DB-130 single needle, Kansai Special RX-9803/UTC coverstitch, Union Special 56300F chainstitch, Pfaff 335-17 cylinder arm walking foot, Bonis Type A fur machine, Huji 43-6 patcher, Singer 99 hand cranked, Juki DDL-553 single needle (for sale)
Members jrdunn Posted February 14, 2022 Members Report Posted February 14, 2022 Carrie, If you or someone you know is a "tinkerer", they are good for burnisher, buffer or sander drives. Maybe anything else that you want to turn and don't mind having a clutch on. JM2C, Jim
