Here's another order done, squeezed in between announcing contracts. They're for a little boy for a birthday present. His Mom said he's been asking for custom spur straps since he could barely walk. Hopefully, these fit the bill. Have a look and let me know what you think. Stay bless gang.

I placed 2 pronged spots in a headstall, that I now need to remove.is there such thing as leather putty or filler, to cover the prong holes and dye it? They are small holes, like size of a pen tip

Would anyone be so kind to share a source for nylon halters? I am starting to make custom bronc halters and would love to find a wholesale source. I have an account with Weaver Leather (for the supplies - but not tack) but really have no desire to buy the hardware and nylon and make them myself. And although I don't have a problem buying online from tack stores at regular pricing, I would like to find a supplier that offers a range of colors besides black, red, royal, and green. Surely those making custom bronc nosebands that are paired up with a pretty lime green or hot pink halter are not manufacturing the halter themselves?

Could someone please tell me the correct way to fit a roping/barrel noseband with tie down. Are they used seperate/independantly from the headstall or put through the brow band loops like an English bridle? Thank you DJ

I got tired of playing around with scrap leather and decided to build something functional. My first attempt at spur straps.

Did these Bronc Halters for some high school gals they like the blink and the color. Might have to give these another coat of paint the camera always shows the bad spots. Thanks for looking Doug

I recently covered a pair of oxbows with a beautifully, thick buffalo rawhide. I had a problem when lacing the sides. Things lookd really nice but i was troubled with one stirrup since the rawhide had dried enough at the bolt that I was worried the bolt and nut were getting some pressure as I worked the drying rawhide into a nicely formed appearance and laced. Nice looking or not, the nut did pop off and this seems a bit too rookie to have happen again with the next two pairs planned for starting tomorrow. (Don't we all work on NewYears?) Any specific remarks on lacing rawhide at that tab which folded over around the bolt for better resuls is greatly appreciated. I'm won…
