  1. I agree there, had I intended to use it as seen I would have been up the creek without a paddle! Definitely a lesson learned and the last time I have one simply strapped against the wall and go. @kgg has me thinking on the 3D print idea, never thought about that so thanks!
  2. Appreciate the feedback, but I think my point may have been missed. Again, I only made this purchase for the machine head. I understand the difference between quality board and non-quality board, hence why I'm trashing Weaver for ever mounting anything on a particle board. New stand, new servo, new top, new reducer, new attachments all done. I was simply asking where I may source a Winkel Angle.
  3. Was perfect before my shipper grabbed it. I had no idea it was particle. Just why Weaver? Cost?
  4. Oh yea it obliterated it. For whatever reason, during Adlers 205 white run, Weaver installed them on particle board. Both those boards are particle and they just fell apart due to vibration. Machine was secured, but when you put something on cheap board like that, well you're asking for it. Bought the setup just for the machine, it's going on a new stand, new boards, etc. But yea I really wanted to keep the head setup as factory as possible as it has very few hours on it. Maybe someone who's not running a guard will hook me up? $$$ of course.
  5. Does anyone for the life of me know where I can buy a Winkel Angle that the belt guard attaches to? It broke during transit from bouncing and/or vibration I'm assuming. Campbell Randall was unable to source one. I know every reproduction 205 comes with one, but how do I get my hands on one?
  6. Sold
  7. Price reduced to $4,400.
  8. No gloves, respirator, ppe of any type WITH the cigarette in full affect while laying down that paint yikes!
  9. Any particular reason why you're selling after one use? Not up to snuff?
  10. Correct, but the store wanted to argue that and throw poor customer service my way. Corporate was great, customer services at the stores is horrendous.
  11. I will add that BG is currently out of stock on the 12-Ton. I only know because I reached out myself 4 weeks ago and they do not know when it will be back in stock. Thankfully they had a prototype version in the warehouse that they discounted me on. Also, the 12-ton is advertised as 8 tons when utilizing the shorter handle, 12 tons with the longer handle. Does this mean you can slap a longer handle on a Weaver 8-Ton and achieve 12 tons? I don't know myself, but very well may be the case.
  12. This machine has been sold.
  13. UPDATE: After multiple calls this morning between corporate Tandy and my local Tandy branch, I WILL NOT be moving forward with the Tandy purchase nor will I EVER purchase from Tandy. Absolutely atrocious customer service experience with the local branch, tried to charge me freight even though they have the item in the store and on-hand. Rep got rude on the phone when I stated that I just spoke with corporate and they said that is false. Corporate is supposed to be getting with the local branch to work this out, but I'm DONE. My experience with the branch rep on the phone was enough for me, matches the rest of their reviews and YouTube videos. Melanie with corporate has been phenomenal when it comes to resolving this issue, I'll give Melanie the shoutout she deserves for her level of customer service, but the local Tandy's behavior was ridiculous.
  14. I am not a fan of the Weaver 4-Ton. I'm not knocking the machine nor have I tried one, but just from face value alone, it does little for me in terms of costing $1800. Tack on taxes and freight and it just does not have any bells and whistles to run $2200+. The Tandy just went on sale today and I can pick it up from my local Tandy dealer to deter freight cost so I will be going that route.
  15. I'm getting ready to buy a small clicker and have narrowed down my interest to either the Tandy 5-Ton or Dream Factory 5-Ton. Has anyone tried either? Tandy https://tandyleather.com/products/tandypro-r-clicker-press?variant=42729329983619&country=US&currency=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA2JG9BhAuEiwAH_zf3jhx123qNycZlXQJXeBqQTtwp-1Etd-p70XEwPz3rbHDxoHtzTU1RBoCcyQQAvD_BwE Dream Factory https://www.dreamfactorytools.com/products/clicker-press-hand-clicker The Tandy is 128lbs. The DreamFactory is 66lbs and claims to require no lubrication via grease, yet has a grease zerk on the back of it. Anyone forsee potential issues with the aluminum construction of the DreamFactory or it's engineered obsolescence of lubrication(except the swivel pivot)? I wonder how that design holds up in terms of longevity. What about the air assist lift on the Tandy, would this not pose more resistance during articulation of the press?
