I'm offering members of leatherworker.net a special on shirt printing. So if anyone has the desire to have any shirts printed just yell at me. I do vinyl decals and such also which is good for car windows and such to advertise. 25 shirts, 1 color 1 location prints for $130.00 + shipping to you. My website should be back up in a couple of days, but the address is www.sacredartscreenprinting.com and I can be reached at graphics@sacredartscreenprinting.com. The special above will be listed on the site as a "holiday special" but it will remain that pice for leatherworker members after the holidays for as long as I can do it.

Depends on your future plans as far as your art is concerned. If you ever plan on printing shirts, etc A high resolution and large raster image is very important. Vector is great as it is not pixel based and can be size with no worries but not always the end all be all either. I think the current existing logo is great, and it would be easy to recreate. Plus it's design that would look good and simple with or without color and without gradients. It's always a good idea to have a universal logo color wise that will work as 1 color.

Thanks, haven't had time to search but sounds like a plan!

All sounds good to me, thanks for the advice. When I get started I'll put something up! For lacing, I just don't do it often. I've always liked hand stitching but everything has it's place

Those are worn through but not to the stiffer part that is sewn on to the boots. If that makes sense lol don't know the correct terms for this stuff. Here is a stock pic offline: It is really only worth it to me if i get something better put on the bottom that will last longer. So in dummy terms, the part that touches the ground is worn, they are almost hollow when worn through. lol!! thanks for responding

yeah, not the biggest fan of lacing myself.... I find myself wanting to do something else whenever I do fool with it. Im sure it will take awhile! Still gotta talk it over with the one that wants it done, but yeah the above example is pretty cool, make the idea sound better to me... maybe a touch flashy but hell... lol

I've got a pair of boots that i kinda want to resole. Im curious of what the average cost to have this done is, compared to just buying a new pair. The boots if they still make them were selling between $120.00-$150.00 but by far my favorite boots ever, yet the soles that come on them just don't last long.

Oh thanks alot! I'll look over that a bit closer in a little bit and talk with him tonight. I wanted to avoid pre made lace for cost effectiveness, plus kangaroo lace is so expensive...especially for something like this being for accent more than strength. Plus I didn't like the idea of eyelets that was mostly regarding the thin fabric lining on the inside! Im patient...just not that patient! This is sorta the plan, minus the two tone lace or lacing over the full construction of the vest... though the two tone would be kinda cool also..... lol now It's probably gonna have to be two toned ... Looking at springfield leathers site, they have red kid skin at 2 oz, would that work well for lace? It seems to be the only red option I see thus far.

I got asked to braid around a vest. The plan is to go with 1/4" red lace and probably with round braid. Kinda looking for suggestions as I've never messed with garment leather before. Would I need to place eyelets for the holes? as that's gonna be a looooong task if so... What would be a good idea for material to make the lace from?

New Wallet Completed

I think I can speak for everyone here, that the subject matter of their work shouldn't be questioned. For example, I am not a christian, don't believe in god (can't write a proper sentence at times!) but I unbiasedly look at every bible cover posted without prejudice. No soap box, just saying. -
Nice work on the seat. The symbol is just a logo for a band called him (not a fan personally). Never seen it before they came out... just a bastardization of a pentagram.

You and me both! In this case, I did the black first! Yet it wore fast and the second color was just perfect underneath it. First time for me, and a little odd! But I think I have the answer.
-
Guns not unlike black, go good with everything! I'll have to try the airbrushing techniques you tried. Interestingly enough, the last project I airbrushed turned out strange results over a few weeks of use. Sprayed black first fading out from the edge, then sprayed a brownish color. The black started wearing off in area's, but the brown took very well beneath it. First time I've had black pro oil dye rub off.

I had a chance to buy an 85 or 86 fxr which ever was the first year of the evo. Could have had it at a fairly decent price and I didn't jump on it. I still kick myself sometimes for not doing it. Cyberthrasher, nice to see a larger pic! I like that frame, what are the specs. It appears to be somewhere around 4 up 2 out maybe? Im looking at possibly picking up a basket case shovel.... don't know yet if Im gonna do it or not yet. Got to get a back up vehicle so i can have the downtime on the sportster to cut it.

Solid mount is the only mount! Im sure it will add to the suspension especially if you are running short shocks... like me... which you might as well be riding a hard tail cause you ain't far from it.

The Next Victim! Vintage Tele Wrap And Tool!

Looks really good, this version is much more complimenting than the blacked out version. -
Cool! Only draw back, is the scissor springs. BUT, that is a personal preference as I don't understand using springs on a seat for a bike that has a functioning swingarm.
-
LOL. Yeah, they'd have to catch up though.

So this plumber, knight, and hunter walk into the bar.... Looks good, lets see the bike!

Still like the bullet belt concept, but yes of course probably alot involved. Though, if you were planning on doing the strap like that, then it would probably be overkill. If I had to choose between the guitar sides and the strap for bullets, I'd choose the guitar as that has probably NEVER been done before. I've never paid conchos any attention... my personaly opinion would be to avoid them though. Concho just sounds cheap. If the guy is paying a good amount of cash for this, I'd keep everything as custom/authentic as possible. Other than that Im afraid Im of no help. You could have indians scalping people somewhere! Yeah, I dig that idea. -

Now that would be cool as hell to do that as a bullet belt with actual bullets..
