Cool seat, I like the distress look of the leather. The lace work makes the color show up very well. Motor and trans looks like late 70's 80's style. Ridged frame makes for a lot of pit stops "right". Bike and seat look GREAT Happy trails

That's gorgeous, your son will be very proud to carry this one with him. Incrediable colors and finish. I personnelly like the oak leaves best.

Hi everyone, I"m new to this craft, so please give me some helpful info on sewing machines. I'll be doing equine products mostly, after a lot of practice, but I would also like to do some small stiches like soft leather inlays on exotic hides. So will these 2 totally different thread sizes and weights, and different thread spacing, mean I need 2 different style machines. My hope is that 1 machine will do all types of sewing with the proper adjustments. Which ones don't break, last for years, and parts are easy to get. Thanks in advance.

Hey, Do the back ground in a midnight blue, then dry brush in a light blue in accent areas, then dry brush over that with a silver to highlight. Then do the eyes in an off setting blue, 1st stamp "KEEP" in the left eye, "OUT" in the right eye and dye the words in bright red. Do the outline of the skull and cracks in black. The skull itself in a soft gray, teeth after you see the colors blending.

Thats very nice, any bronc I own would look a lot better in it. I,m very new at this kind of work, so if I'm not supposed to know the answer don't tell. But, did you mix your stains or is that an over the counter colour?

"Great looking seat dude", I'm brand new at this leather gig, and don't know how things are done yet , BUT that super nice. I like the braiding on the edges, came out so smooth, won't rub the leg as it hangs over the seat. I,m a hertitage man myself. Great job

Thanks for the help on basket weaving. It seemed that I was hitting the tool very hard, but very little impression would show. It really bothered me why I couldn't get it to stand out. Also, I saw you are interested in dying, the biggest deal is to start with a very light color and darken that color. It requires to much dye to lighten a dark color. Also use sable brushes, that's the best advise ever. Again, THANKS for the tip.

Your right, I'll have to work on that part. My wife agrees with you, I've been doing it a long time and it's not set deep in my heart to quit yet.

This is the first leather work I've ever done. Was asked to try for a halter client, so I bought a starter kit from Tandy. I drew the logo, read Tandy's book and I got this. Please pick it apart and advise how I could have made it better. In any case I at least tried "RIGHT".
