    Hail Altimann! Welcome to the forum. What kind of leatherwork are you into? Have you made much motorcycle leather? Im currently trying to make a single piece wet formed tank cover to protect my bikes paintjob.

    Is this the kind of effect that can be obtained with an airbrush? So that the dye fades from dark at the edge to light near the middle?

    Hi, Did you find an Aerostitch machine? Do you know what a sensible price is for one of these if sold second hand? Ive just been looking at a video of one in use on you tube and it looks like an awesome machine. I like the Boss, but as you say, it may be akward to operate it with one hand on the lever.     Very nice work. I like the wet forming, its so neat. I'm trying to wet form a whole tank cover for my fuel tank, but I'm concerned I may get wrinkles or folds, so will stick to some very thin leather, maybe 2-3 oz.

    Welcome to the forum. Im considering trying a Buell, Lightning Long. Ive always like those. Thats a nice bit of tooling, even more-so condinering you havnt been doing it for long.

    Great pictures Tom, If they tour England I'll make an effort to see them. How come you add the alcohol, I would have thought that it would thin the colour out or make it less vibrant? Do you just apply several coats?

    Tom, those are brilliant! I still cant get the same bright red dye effect with the same dyes, it always seems more dull. Which finish did you use? The red V on the black background is great.

    Are the side sections wet moulded to keep thier shape?

    Thanks, I wouldnt mind trying that effect sometime. Is that Tan dye? It looks more reddish rather than tan.
