Thanks for the reply. I bought another one man saddle shop and this is one of the machines,looks in good shape and runs well. Where is the picture of yours located?I will try a supplier here in Canada next week for needles. I downloaded a manual online. Looks like it was quite a machine in its time well built for industrial use.

Anybody using a Singer 97-10?Looking for feed back on this big machine.How do they sew,parts available?

I have had quite a few Pearsons here in the saddlery over the years,sold most of them and still have one I use. All of them were painted,I donot recall any of them being chromed.Some were painted very fancy with gold colored pin striping etc.

I have a very old 2 part harness makers wooden tool box, all orginal filled with lots of tin patterns,paper patterns,invoice list, cardboard patterns,pictures of horse harness parts and harness pictures from old catalog / magazines,few wierd wooden tools in the bottom of the box. I can send pictures on request if anyone wants to make me an offer on this antique.I bought it about 20 years ago from the owner of the orginal Harness Makers Shop is Sackville NB, Canada.
