  1. Finished a few more orders - 8 plait romals.

  4. Hard to explain Joel, this braid can be found in Enrique Capone's braiding manuals. These are excellent references.
  5. Joel - Skidmores waterproofing, it's a bees wax mixture, more of a dressing. LTC - the leather is beveled on the flesh side 45 degrees, and the rawhide is beveled on the hair side. I bevel the really small string by hand with a knife. I posted some pics of that a while back so you may be able to find those on this forum. I cut the leather 1/8" and the rawhide is 5/64". Under the small buttons id a four strand ring knot and the under long button is a leather collar. The body looks like two strands but is two 4 strands braided together so it is a solid piece.

  7. Not sure what the crown knot is. May be the same as I use with a pineapple knot cover. the center knot is a ring knot with a pineapple cover. There is a ring knot slide to lock closed.

    Two of my latest orders, both 8 x 12 Plait.

  11. The heading is supposed to read "Bracelet". I must of had a brain fart. I've been having trouble with the access to this site, is anyone else experiencing this?

    Necklace

    A bracelet I made for a friend in Florida. Been pushing to get the small stuff out of the way. Built 9 necklaces and 10 bracelets in the last week and a half. This one has a silver ferrel added.
  13. Nice gear Buck. Good you have a market for them. Money is a good incentive to move on and refine your work.

  16. The knots are dyed calf rawhide and I did win the Traditional Cowboy Artist Emerging Artist contest in Mesa Az. braiding category with this rein set. Thank you for the kind comments.

  18. I believe she was using a finish called Neatlac that could be bought through Tandy Leather. I would check with them and see if they still have that product or something similar.
