  1. You should take some better pictures of it, so we can see all of the details! Looks good from here, though!
  2. That lion looks great! I'm also wondering what you used for an outer sole, and were you got the pattern/inspiration for them!
  3. Just saw it! Looks awesome! Where did you get the patterns for the large cases?
  4. I know what you mean... I have vivid memories of my old boss sewing clean through his hand with his machine. The throttle was temperamental and he was too stubborn to get it fixed... Ah, the good ol' days.
  5. I've never been able to get copper rivets to set properly. I'm either using to much or not enough force... Project does look good, though! Very post-apocalyptic looking.
  6. I want to make one of those, but I have no idea what I would do with it! Wear it to my beef production class, maybe?
  7. Can't say I've ever seen a sports themed halter like that! Nice work! You'll never have to worry about getting it mixed up with anyone else's.
  8. Very nice! I'd love to take on a project like that. And giving it as a wedding gift is a wonderful idea! Just one question though, the hame strap at the top doesn't look right... Shouldn't it lay 90 degrees from what it is?
  9. Very nice! Looks both stable and soft. Did you hand sew it or use a machine?
  10. Beautiful! How did you make the frames?
  11. That one looks nice! Is that just leather over the jaws? I noticed it on the other one, too.
  12. This might work for anyone who can't get the link to work... kelly_papier plain.pdf
  13. No worries. I wonder why there aren't oil dyes in other colours...
  14. Great tutorial! I will definitely be referring to it, myself!
  15. I like how simple and rustic it looks! Does it have a belt loop?
  16. After much searching, I was able to find someone to build me a stitching pony based on the plans from my AS book. I'm trading him for a bush bag and a pair of mitts. I can't wait!!
  17. Oh! I didn't know you could get oil dyes in any other colour than the browns and black. I'll have to watch for that at my local Tandy.

I really need to get this whole university thing out of the way so I can get back to making money and spending it on more leather tools so I can make more money to spend on leather tools... See where this is going?
  19. I have to agree with Luke and Billsotx. It took me a while to get it, but I picked that up on my own. It works very well, just be sure to keep your knife at 90 degrees, or the new piece being cut can end up smaller than the first one... It's something I still have to work on.
  20. As far as I know, from the leatherwork books I have, you're supposed to shape it THEN tool it... If anyone has a good solution to this, I'd like to hear it, too!
