  1. Videos are too large generally to post here with the file size restrictions.  Post on YouTube and share a link to it here.

If your files are too large to post here due to file size restrictions, you need to resize your files to fit.  Follow this link for some helps and suggestions.  https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/15122-how-to-post-pictures-on-lw/?do=findComment&comment=551171 There are lots of Apps, software, and online tools available on the web, or even built into your device to enable you to reduce your file sizes.  800 pixels in the longest dimension is quite adequate.  Smart phone screens and many monitors don't display high res files in high resolution.  People that live on the fringes of the internet appreciate smaller file sizes and high res photos may take from 10 minutes to hours to download.

Not sure what you are having a problem with too large files or something else?

1photo attached more info or pictures on request.

Your photo is much higher resolution than necessary.  It is nearly 1MB.  If you reduce the file size like suggested, to 800 pixels in the longest dimension, you will have a lot less trouble uploading photos here.

EDIT:  I checked your file sizes, a little large, near 500kB, but shouldn't be a problem loading 3 or 4 photos at a time.  800 pixels in longest dimension may help reduce that size some more.

I would like to dye some home tanned deer hide.

Moved your post into a subforum Dyes, Antiques, Stains, Glues, Waxes, Finishes and Conditioners. where you might find more information and hear from others that may frequent this area.

Google Searches are faster and get more data than the search engine here.  Use this format:  "site:leatherworker.net YOUR SEARCH PARAMETERS" without the quotes.  Their servers index a lot more data and are quite fast compared to here.

I’m trying to contact Dwight a pastor located in central Ohio about a pattern for an Andrews custom leather holster, I’m inquiring about the carjacker holster. I’m wanting to know if he still has the pattern for this style of holster and if I could possibly be able to get a copy of the pattern. I would be willing to pay for a copy of this pattern if he still has the pattern. Please let me know if this is possible.        Thanks

I have an opportunity to buy an old Bonis Fur sewing machine. I've been hand stitching for months, mostly totes. I make 2 or 3 a year. I can't justify a sewing machine for my needs but this is local and $150 with table and motor. Does anyone think it can utilize this machine for making leather totes? Maybe the long seams before I turn the bag. Thanks for any help.

im currently looking for a flat throat plate and feed dog set to buy.  Do any of you know where to buy those?  I looked online, and KHSew, but no luck.  I see cowboy makes all kinds of throat plates, but I do not see how to purchase.

Moved your post to leather sewing machines.

You might want to put a little ad in the wanted section of the marketplace.

without the tag, you turn the shirt over and try to find the stamp. You can not see it so you put the shirt on taking a 50/50 gamble you will have to turn it around

so to avoid this I turn on the light which wakes my love

Put everything except your shirt on, step out of the bedroom to the bath or where ever and turn on the light there.  Sometimes I can find the shoulder seams and make a fairly good guess,  but not always!

  13. Mach 3 and other models used to be sold by Leightons Industrial Sewing machines in Alberta several years ago.  The owner was fairly old and really reliable.  The business is gone, no longer on the web, so I assume the owner has passed away.  Now I'm seeing all kinds of strange Mach whatever sewing machines like the above post.  He found some of the same ones I found.

Here is an old post https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/9019-sewing-machine-from-leightons/

It insists on saving any pictures I snip as a png file instead of a .jpg.

I assume you are pasting to Paint or other graphics program.

When you save the file in Windows 10, you can pick what format to save it in by clicking on the drop down box for the file type.
