  1. Nicely done. Then only thing that I do not like is the black around the edge. With the very bright stain on top it just does not work for me personally. The basket weaving on the sheath is very nicely done. Very straight! Regards, Rickey
  2. Awesome job handwerker. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. Gives me ideas for my next project! Keep'em coming. Regards, Rickey
  3. Terrific job on your first knife sheath. I have yet to post my first one on this web site. Maybe later today. Regards, Rickey
  4. I would recommend that you look around on this website to see other examples of knife sheaths to help you decide which way you want to go with your next project. What I have learned in my short time of being a member of this site is that most of the members are very skilled. Keep trying as we all get better with practice. Regards, Rickey
  5. The first thing I noticed was how smooth you got the edges of the leather. What did you use to do this? Sorry I am a newbie and wanting to learn. Other than that to me your project looks perfect. Rickey
  6. I am new to leather work, but to me it looks INCREDIBLE. I hope to produce a project just as GREAT one day. Rickey
  7. Awesome job. I am currently working my first Knife sheath. I hope that I can make it close to half as good as yours. I know it will be good if I can. Rickey
  8. Nice work. I hope to do as well on my knife project. Rickey
  9. Awesome, that is the best way to describe your work. I would only suggest more pictures of the entire sheath not just one side. This way we can admire your sheath more completely. Rickey
  10. I like them both. Whoever buys them from you will get a well made product. Rickey

  13. I am wanting to make a Knife Case/Sheath for my gun knife. I am asking for suggestions for this project. The dollar bill it is layed on is to help you all with a reference point to see exactly the size of the knife. This project will be my first that is not a kit from Tandy. Any and all help with this project will be "GREATLY APPRECIATED". Warmest Regards, Rickey
  14. Glad to be involved with you and everyone else. I do want to Thank You for your service to our Country also. Not many do retire from the military. Very rarely do I get congratulated or have someone say something nice when I where my Desert Storm Veteran Hat. That is OK though, I know that I served the Greatest Country in the World. I would do it all over again! Hope to meet up with you at a future event. Doesnt look like I will make the Arizona, or Wyoming show this year. Maybe next year when I have some vacation. Started a new job this past April. Anyways look at me ramble on, Thanks again and have a Great Day. Warmest Regards, Rickey

  18. I am a new, oldie. I started stamping leather about 20 years ago. Then I joined the military and got married and had a family. Just recently I retired from the military and I am in a residence for longer then 2 years. Moved alot when I was in the miltary. An example would be 8 times in 6 years. Anyway my wife and I have been taking leather carving classes in Independence, Missouri at Tandy Leather at 40 and Noland Rd. We are excited to begin learning about the leather carving, dyeing, lacing, and stamping as a hobby and possibly making some money once our skills have improved substantially. Any and all help from you members will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!! I will appologize now for our numerous questions and postings ahead of time. Today we are going to Tandy Leather in Independence, Missouri to get in on the end of year sale. We plan to purchase quite a few items. So in closing WE WISH ALL OF YOU TO HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR IN 2011. Rickey & Melissa
