Here are a few from the last week or two. It's a pretty wide variety but they all turned out OK. Thanks for looking, Josh

Kahr Cw45 Holsters
Josh Ashman replied to dickf's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Both holsters look great, the molding, fit-up, color and finish are all outstanding! Very well done! Josh -
I've built two saddles with the Chahin drum dyed leather from Weaver and neither had any rub off. My guess is that other tannery's wouldn't have any rub off either but I don't have any personal experience with them. Good luck, Josh

Here's a recent western holster and belt. It's a surprise birthday present from the guys wife, he was very happy. It's built for a Ruger Security Six and it's built out of 10/11 HO except for the cartridge loops which are 6 oz (which is pretty heavy but it's what I have and it works). The finish is Fiebings black liquid acrylic antique over one coat of NF oil then 50/50 M&G. Thanks for looking, Josh

Recent 1911 Builds

Great job Ran, those really look nice! Josh -
Thanks Jason, I've only built with horse a few times so I'm no expert but I think it is a little different from cow to work with. It does take water but it takes longer for it to penetrate, I may be doing my molding/boning a little too dry and I'm just as apt to mess up a cow holster as a horse one. My main issue (I think) is that I muddy up my lines by running over them too many times which makes for a sloppy appearance. Sometimes with a 1911 I do pretty well but with blockier guns not so much. This is a close up what I don't like - This turned out pretty good but it's kinda a crap shoot for me - Thanks for looking and I appreciate your comments, Josh

Tooled Glock 26 Shoulder Holster
Josh Ashman replied to Josh Ashman's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Thanks Bobby! I borrowed pretty heavily from some pictures Lobo posted to come up with my design and so far it is working very well. There's enough pieces that it takes me a while to build them but they seem to work well. Best regards, Josh -

Thanks guys! Jeff, M&G is Mop and Glo, for me it's a relatively cheap and easy substitute for Resolene. Some folks like it and others don't. I've been using it for at least a year now and haven't had any issues. Best regards, Josh
