  5. thanks for the nice compliment, and yes the pattern is one i drew up for that customer, i try and draw everbody a new pattern unless they want one just like that. but usally i try not to use the same pattern twice. you will get there like my good friend bob park says all it takes is pratice!!!!!!

  8. hello lwleather, i use mineral sprits to thin my antique, it last longer and it gets down in the tiny places better. if you are having dark and light spots i would check and make sure you project is clen and free of any oils after tooling. after i finish tooling i clean with oxolic acid let dry, oil, then apply light coat of neat-lac,then antique, then finish off with tan-coat. hope this helps john

  11. here are some better pictures of a lawyers briefcase i just finished it is 17" wide 15" tall and 6" deep all the silver is custom made by the silversmith that does all my work, as always all comments good or bad are welcome
