  2. i tryed to keep the weight down so i tooled it out of 5oz leather and the back is made with a nice nylon. thanks for the compliment john
  3. here is a ladies fully tooled vest that was made for a customer we made the complete vest it is fully linned with a zipper front as always all comments welcome
  4. hello i make a lot of judges notebooks all they are is a tooled cover for a small legal pad. the way i made my pattern is i measure the pad and alloy 1/2 inch above the top and 1/2 inch below the bottom and 1/2 inch on the side. now mine open up like a bookand the pad is inside, with flap and pen holder on oppsite side. i am working one now should have it done this weekend will post it for you to look at. if i can help in any other way just let me know john

  6. hello greg yes it is possible to make a living doing this i have for 20 plus yrs. my suggestion would be start small a neighbor of mine does a lot of gun shows, and he is always trying to get me to go and sell belts, but i dont have time , but you sould make a bunch of basket stamped belts and some geometeric stamped one and sell the ones they sell are not lined . some only have border stamp. maybe some small wallets and things like that would sell.also if there are any crsft shows that might be an outlet to sell something. feel free to visit my gallery and if i can help in any other way just let me know hope this helps john

  10. hello i use oxzic acid to age all my metal you can buy it at lowe's you have to use it outside because the fumes are to strong to use inside. it works great for me and it is real inexpensive and easy to get more localy if you need it hope this helps john
  11. mack i dont know for sure if you can use that size thread in that small of machine i have a alder 205-64 and it uses 138 thread ans a 140 or 160 needle. might want to check about that size of thread hope this helps john
