  2. hello joel yes the leather is glued to the wood base. i build the base first then cut and tool my leather. on one of them i tooled the front, top, and back, i always cover the whole clock with leather, just dont always tool the back, because that is a extra charge glade you liked it, and thanks for the nice compliment john
  3. i agree bob's (hidepounder) edges are the best i have ever seen anywhere. bob explaines in great detail on his tuteriol on how to get that great looking edge that everbody is looking for, also bob is real good at explaining any questions you might have. just my opion john

  6. my are pretty close to the others i take the waist size add 2 inches if they are not using a trophy buckle the add 3 in to the fold and add 6 in from the center hole to the tip. for instance a 32 in waist would wear a34 in belt plus 3 in to fold and 6 in to tip hope this helps john
  7. hello charlene, just take a piece of poster board and cut it to the exact size you want the clock face to be layout the outside borader ( usally 1/2 in in ) and draw your double border, then draw your circle in the middle if you have one, and send to me and i will draw the floral pattern around the edge and leave the center blank so you can basket weave it. hope this helps john. send pattern to john ivy 8732 north yale sperry okla 74073.

  10. hello charlene maybe i can help you out if you dont need this real soon if you will take a piece of poster board and draw the outside borders and the center of your clock i would draw you a pattern for your clock since it is for your dad's b day if you want to look at some of my work feel free to look at my gallery. i am also going to post a couple drawings that i did just playing around hope this helps john
  11. the average belt sizes are 34 to 38 and maybe some 40's that is the size i did when i built belts for a saddle shop. john

  13. i usally always dye first then oil but that is just my poion i think it would work either way hope this helps john
