Pay Now, Or Pay Later?
cleveland replied to particle's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I have been burned a number of times by a no payment customers, so I take full payment up front now. If the wait is a problem for them, they can always buy a Galco holster. :-) -
I just sent him a PM through leatherworker.net after reading this post and he set me up. I'd recommend doing the same.

I got my second burnisher from Chris a few days ago. Absolutely love them!!! Thanks again!

R9 Iwb Alligator Holster
cleveland replied to robertmeco's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I have primary used Rings and Duncan for holster making. I have most of the guns they offer. They both make good products and have a MUCH LARGER selection then I do. My dummys have better finish then Duncan's but not as detailed as Ring's. The next 6-9 months will show much improvement in design and product availability, but it's a process. -

Ohhhh.... I though it was a pocket holster. I guess it would help if I read the title of the post. LOL! -

I asked the question incorrectly. When you draw the gun from your pocket, what keeps the holster from drawing with the holster? Is the other side of the holster rough to add friction? -

Looks good. With it being a smooth texture, do you have any issues with it sliding out when drawing the gun? -
Same here, fast shipping = happy buyer. :-) Thanks again!

That's a good idea

Looks nice. Why two knives? Type of work he does?
-
It came today! Now to learn how to set it up and... how to use it! :-)
-
That looks fantastic! How did you attach the Kydex?

I'll take it. PM sent.

I have narrowed the list down to the following 4 models because of the level of interest combined with the lack of other company's making them. 1-Kimber Solo 2-3.5" 1911 Cocked and locked 3-Ruger SP101 2.25" 4-F&N FNX If you were to put these in order of need, how would you number them? This thread will decide the order they are made in. Thanks!

PM sent for Kimber Solo

Yep, that was me. :-)

I was going to bid on the American, but when I saw what they were bidding on the Landis for... well I'm not interested in getting into a bidding war. I need a splitter and will wait till the right one comes along. I'm the type of guy that will wait for months to find the right tool. Hopefully I find one here on leatherworker.net and skip the whole ebay thing. That place has screwed me as the buyer and the seller more then once. I'd be interested in knowing how the American worked out for you after you get it. Bobby

I have not forgotten about this thread, I am still waiting to hear back on a list I submitted. In the mean time, I will offer a $5 discount on any of my aluminum training guns to any "contributing member" of leatherworker.net. This discount will be good through the end of February. You have to put leatherworker and your user name in the comments box on my order form to get the discount. I will post an update as soon as I have one. Thanks again!

I have 2 boxes of horsehide scraps. Please reply to this post as I do not get notified when someone PM's me. BTW, anyone know how to fix that? Box 1 has useable size scraps. Most are large enough to get a couple of key fobs out or more. I put a business car in the box for size reference. Not really sure what to ask, but I would prefer pick up here in West Allis, WI. Cash, trade (tools, key fob die, other leather, your leather works?), whatever. Box 2 has pretty small scraps. Not sure what they could be used for or if they could really be used. I put a business car in the box for size reference. This box is FREE! I would prefer pick up on these as well.

Harness Vs English Bridle Vs Motor Latigo Vs Carving Vs Skirting?
cleveland replied to cleveland's topic in All About Leather
Softer, zero blemishes, and just looks/feels better. Smells about the same. :-) -
Thanks Bruce! I'm looking at the two that are on ebay right now. I have been working with the owner of the Landis and he was going to set up a buy it now for $550 shipped but about an hour before he was supposed to someone placed a bid. :-( The owner of the American is willing to do a similar offer, but I didn't want to pass up the Landis if it is that much better of a machine. http://www.ebay.com/...=item27c23ef0a3 http://www.ebay.com/...=item53eade9307 BTW, what is a reasonable price? I was thinking $600 ish? Is that realistic or am I being a bit too optimistic? Thanks again!
