  1. IF the flash came from a book I bought, does that count as purchasing the flash art?
  2. Thanks for looking and commenting! I was looking to something a bit different with the front, hence the asymmetry. Glad you liked it.
  3. Really wonderful gift! You have some serious talent!
  4. Nice work Spinner! BTW, an overdue thank you for the information you have posted about acrylic paints. Your posts were a tremendous help on a recent project.
  5. Very nice. Your concepts are always inventive, well executed, and stylish. You have inspired me to try my hand at a woman's purse!
  6. Thanks Ryan, I used Golden Acrylics diluted with airbrush medium, and then hand painted in layers. First time with Acrylics on leather, technique learned from reading these forums. Spinner's posts especially. His posts were very informative.
  7. Your work is always stunning, but this...omg.
  8. love it.
  9. Good luck on the search, but I think there is a pdf version available for download on the Springfield leather, or Tandy site.
  10. The Art of Making Leather Cases Vol.2 by Al Stohlman has instructions on how to do them (Handle # 17, page 21). I have made them several times (but I also have a rein rounder which makes it even easier). They aren't that difficult to do, and they are more comfortable on the shoulder and hands, if that purse gets filled and heavy). I am sure there are tutorials somewhere on this site, but I never did a search because I own the Stohlman books. Oops, I think the handle you actually might want to use is # 18 or 19 on page 22.
  11. Nice work and color choices. I like the cell phone attachment inside, and the snap for keys (so they don't get lost inside with other stuff). The tooling looks nice, and it's placement and color really serves to bind everything together in a stylistic way. Will the straps be rounded? Well done.
  12. Love the design, and tooling. Fantastic work!
  13. Thanks, much appreciated!
  14. Cool project. Tons of room for more art, looking forward to what you come up with.
  15. I didn't think of the thousands of artists who have used his flash art for tattooing. Good to know if someone requests it in the future.
  16. I love his bold lines and clean style. I had always wanted to do some of his art in leather, but needed to wait until doing a piece for myself, as I would never resell his artwork and violate copyright. Happy to say, I think his work looks great on skin, dead or alive.
  17. Stanley Mouse tribute. He did a lot of artwork for the GD.
  18. Very kind of you to say. Thanks!
  19. Thank you for all of your kind comments!

    Thanks!
  21. Thank you HS! My fingers are still raw from all the stitching. I like hand sewing, but sometimes I really wish I had a good machine,
