Explanation of pricing Some of you may be shocked at the prices I have posted for some of these stamps. I believe that you are specifically talking about the Scout related stamps and the Rodeo alphabet set. These stamps do not come up for sale on ebay very often so this classifies them as rare. I agree that the prices are higher than normal. Would I pay these prices? Maybe. Most of the time I'd say no. But if I was down to needing the Wood Badge Eagle stamp to finish my collection, I definitely would pay $500.00 for it. I'm not one of these people that buys and sells leather tools as a business or for extra income. I have 3 sets of leather tools. My personal set and 2 sets that I use only with Scouts. In addition I have donated thousands of dollars in leather tools, mostly stamps, to the Las Vegas Area Council of BSA. And I continue to keep their multiple sets stocked. For free. Why am I selling these from my PERSONAL set of leather tools. It turns out that as much as I want to spend a lot of time doing leatherwork as a hobby, I only do it with the Scouts. And they only work on small project kits. The prices on those items are high, not only because they are rare, but also that's the price it will take me to part with them. So if you don't like the prices just move on. You are not my audience and that's fine. I'm looking to sell to someone that not only needs these items, but also is a supporter of the Scouts and has some extra money to contribute to my cause. So what is the money going to be used for? I'm planning on buying some of the rolling tool cases to store the Leather tool sets in. They are currently using large rubbermaid totes which are not sturdy enough for the job. In addition I need to replace most of the cardboard boxes for the 3d and alphabet stamps. Plus come custom storage solutions for other tools. The cheapest option for that is to buy a 3d printer and print our own. There are also a bunch of newer leather stamps that I'm going to order from overseas and from Tandy. That is where the bulk, if not all, of the money would go. BTW I'm also looking for donations of tools. There is a list I've made on Leatherwork.net in the wanted section if you're interested. Donations can be tax deductible. So read that post. If you would like to discuss any of this with me please provide a phone number in a DM and I can call you.
  2. I'm back working with my Scout Council in Las Vegas. Last week I completed an inventory and discussed with them what they need. Below is a list of item I'm trying find for them. If you are willing to donate anything on the list we would appreciate it. In addition, if you want or need a donation letter from the Council, they will provide one. If you would like to make a cash donation, please contact me. I have approval to raise funds for the Leatherworking tools they need but they need to be specified for that purpose. Donations can be sent to: Las Vegas Area Council - Scouting America Attention Donna Sword 7220 Paradise Rd Las Vegas, NV 89119 Please notify me what you are sending and any tracking numbers you have so I can head over there after it arrives. If you need a donation letter please include the following info (from IRS website) The name of the organization; The amount of cash contribution; A description (but not the value) of non-cash contribution; A statement that no goods or services were provided by the organization in return for the contribution, if that was the case; A description and good faith estimate of the value of goods or services, if any, that an organization provided in return for the contribution; A statement that goods or services, if any, that an organization provided in return for the contribution consisted entirely of intangible religious benefits This is not everything they need. 3. I have this stamp but its buried in my garage. Before I dig it out, how much are you willing to pay?
  4. There is one on eBay that's been there for a while. It's $200.00 but he temporarily lowered the price to $150.00. I offered $125.00 and got no response. But I think he'd take $150.00. Out of curiosity, what stamps do you have to trade? Dale
  5. A couple years ago I decided I wanted the set. I saved a search in eBay for Tandy 100. It took a few months but I finally got them. I don't remember what I paid but I know it was a lot for both the swivel knife and head knife. Although, I check eBay several times a day because I have a couple dozen leather stamps I'm trying to find for my Scout sets of tools. Good luck
  6. It took me years to find the one I got on eBay a couple months ago. It was in a small group of stamps someone was selling. I think I paid around $65.00 for the lot. It was a steal at that price. I held my breath until iit arrived. Do you have any extra wood badge, oa or BSA eagle stamps? I don't remember which ones I still need but if you have any extras I'll send you the list of what I need.
  7. I'll have to check what I have. What are the other items you have to trade?
  8. We are looking for donations of alphabet and number sets for Scouts. They can be complete or incomplete. Any and all sets are welcome as every year some get lost or damaged. We would also welcome any other leather stamps and tools you would care to donate. These will be donated to either the Las Vegas Area Council or the Greater Alaska Council in Anchorage. I don't itemize but if you want me to get you a donation letter I will. Call me and we can talk about what you need. Please send to: Dale Prezgay 4800 Crimson Glory Ln Las Vegas, NV 89130 702-768-3335 Thanks, Dale
  9. I have 2 sets of stamps that I use for teaching the Leatherwork Merit Badge. One in Las Vegas and the other in Anchorage. I'm looking for stamps from the list shown below. If you have any of these please contact me ASAP as I would like to have them for this season. Thanks, Dale
  10. Please delete or archive this post. I am starting an updated one. Thanks, Dale
  11. Thanks. There are 2 different armadillo stamps with the same number, 8262. I already have that one. I need the other one. I check eBay at least 5 times a day looking for them. I use multiple searches for each stamp I need. I hoping that someone that has any of these, but doesn't use them anymore, would consider parting with them. Thanks, Dale
  12. I'm looking for these stamps for use in Scouts. I have 2 sets of stamps, one in Las Vegas and the other I'm taking to Alaska next week. If you have them please contact me. Thanks, Dale
  13. I just got the semi truck stamp. But I need the rest of them.
  14. Here is my latest list as of today. Please let me know if you have any of them. Thanks, Dale
  15. I have 3 different sets of leather tools. My personal set, a set that I use with Scouts in Las Vegas and a set I'm in the process of taking to Anchorage to use with Scouts up there. Because of my OCD I wanted to have all the 2d/3d stamps from Craftool, Midas and The Leather Factory for my personal collection. I stocked the other 2 sets with the extras I acquired along the way. For over 15 years, I have built a spreadsheet that included every one of those stamps I was able to identify. I then did the same for the alphabet sets, the 2d/3d stamp sets and the handled stamp sets. Here are the different leather stamp sets I keep track of: My Personal Set My Las Vegas Scout Set My Alaska Scout Set 5 sets of leather tools owned by the Las Vegas BSA (of which I've donated thousands of dollars in leather tools). I also have columns for the 3 Summer Camp sets that the BSA Council in Alaska have. But I have not been able to inventory them yet. I've mainly focused on the 2d/3d stamps. I have been able to identify 778 different, numbered 2d/3d stamps. A few years ago I started buying very aggressively. I would often have to buy larger sets just to get a few that I needed. Then it happened. Over a couple of weeks I was able to fill in a lot of stamps for all 3 of my sets. Especially the Midas stamps. I was now needing less than 50 stamps for my personal set and less than 200 stamps for the 2 Scout sets. I'm now down to this 1 page list of 2d/3d stamps to complete all 3 sets. Which is amazing, if you ask me. I did find someone that has about half of the stamps on the list but they keep changing their mind about selling or keeping them. And thanks for the offer, but right now it's all about completing the 3 sets (OCD remember). I will keep you in mind when I'm ready to have some stamps made. Dale
  16. This is an updated list of the stamps I'm looking for, to use in Scouts. I'm having a really hard time trying to get these stamps. especially the Scout related ones. So, If you have any of them you want to sell, trade or donate, please let me know ASAP. If you want to trade, I have hundreds of the 2D/3D stamps available to trade. Let me know what you are looking for Thanks, Dale Stamps Needed for Scouts 08 20 2022.pdf
  17. If you use USPS priority Mail flat-rate boxes, It's the same price to ship to anywhere in the USA.
  18. I am still looking for these stamps for use in Scouts. Please contact me ASAP if you have them. Thanks, Dale
  19. Which wood Badge stamps do you have?
  20. Ok. Are there any other scout stamps you need? Maybe I can sweeten the deal.
  21. Would you be willing to trade yours for a Craftool one? It looks like it's in new condition. The only reason I want that one is I'm trying to collect all the different stamps for my personal collection. There are at least three Bobcat Badge stamps. The two I mention above, plus the Craftool version. I have a lot of the Craftool ones. But my OCD won't allow me to rest until I get one of each. Dale Craftool Bobcat Stamp.pdf
