  1. I had printed out a (35 page) database listing of 2d & 3d leather stamps that included Craftool, Midas, The Leather Factory and Tandy stamps up from 8200 to 8561. I can't find the file but I got it online somewhere. I tried to take a photo of it but it is not coming out. I will try to get a photo of the Scout stamps from someone I know and upload it. Most of the other 3D stamps are Christian and Jewish symbols. The few religious stamps I have are very popular with the parents of the Scouts. That is why I want to get the ones I listed above. There are so many other stamps I don't have the list would be too long to post. So anything I can get, especially if donated, would be appreciated. Dale That would be appreciated. Thanks, Dale
  2. Hi,

My name is Dale Prezgay.  I live in Las Vegas, Nevada.  I have done a little bit of leatherworking in the past but am starting to get into it again.  I am currently a Leathercraft Merit Badge Counselor with the Boy Scouts of America.  I have also held classes for Cub Scout Packs and Girl Scout Troops.  I have started to put together some leathercraft tools that I can loan out to various youth groups and provide loaner tools for the merit badge classes I will be teaching.

I plan on starting a non-profit organization that is focused on training kids and teens in the art of leathercraft and provide an outlet to sell their work in order to raise money for their Scouting or other club costs.

Try contacting Tandy corporate.  They are pretty good about supporting youth.

I have.  They put me at the elite pricing level which is a big help.  They have also offered to give me a some free projects to pass along to the kids.  I am going to start a Go Fund Me campaign to help me get some of the tools I will need.  I also put a posting in the Wanted section of the Marketplace on this site.  So I am hoping to get some additional tools that way.

  5. I've been a member for a while but never posted anything. I have been trying to put together basic tool sets that I could loan out or take to Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, Girl Scout Troops and other organizations. The idea came to me a few months back when my old Cub Scout Pack asked if I knew where their leather tools were. They ended up finding them but a lot was missing. I offered to loan them some of my tools so they wouldn't need to spend several hundred dollars to replace their's. I contacted a few Packs and found that they had similar problems. Nobody really kept track of them, and when people left the unit the tools disappeared. An idea was born. What if I put together sets of tools, each in their own toolbox, that I could take to the Scout meetings and run a mini course for them over 1 or 2 meetings. If there are 6 boys then I would take out 6 toolboxes along with a variety of alphabet sets, 3-D and other stamps and tools needed to complete a project or two. So I started buying stamps and tools as I could afford in order to start getting stuff together. Well, to make a long story short (too late for that), I bought a set of tools on ebay and spent more than I should have, according to my wife. I planned on reselling only the duplicates but I decided to sell the more expensive tools to help me buy more of the inexpensive tools (Craftool). Also I'm not that good yet and if I used these I would get spoiled and not want to use the tools I already have. I have the following tools that I would like to sell but am not sure of the value. Feel free to make me an offer on them, one or all. Or just tell me what you think they are worth. See photos below. 6 Barry King Stamps - The 2 boarder or meander stamps in the middle are the same as the ones above them except for the size. Also it looks like I double stamped the top right impression so it doesn't look as sharp as it really is. 3 Gore Tool Stamps - The numbers are BG102 9, BG102 7 and BG102 5. 3 Robert Beard Pro Series Stamps - These are black. 2 Chas. F. Smith Stamps - The top one is lined and the bottom one is smooth. 1 Bill Woodruff Stamp - It is a checkered bevel stamp. I think it undercuts or lifts also. Thanks, Dale
  6. Craftool was one of the manufactures of these stamps. Probably the earlier ones. I do not know if there is any difference between the craftool version and the others. Mine just says Taiwan on the back with the number 8419. It also has a gold tone to it rather than the silver. Are you looking to buy one or just borrow one? Many councils have a set to use. You just have to find the right person to ask. There is someone on the internet that has a full set for sale at $3,600.00. But they sell the individual stamps for $85.00, except for the Eagle stamp. That means they are charging $2,920.00 just for the Eagle stamp which is the hardest to find. I will be listing my set on eBay sometime this week for $1,600.00. Not practical for the couple of times a wood badger might use it but for someone that wants to make products to sell it is just the cost of doing business. I attached a photo of mine. Hope it helps. Good luck Dale,
  7. Hello, I am a new member and I know this is a longshot but do you have any of the Wood Badge stamps left? Dale
