  1. thanks Ann. I made this for a friend, and then thought to myself, "You can't have the right facing without the left", so immediately made the mirror images for him. He's cranking out some wristbands and what can I say..they look great. Cheers!
  2. This particular design was rejected by a recent client in favor of a more tribal joker. Still, it made for a pretty good stamp and here it is. It is about 1 1/4" high and I will probably use it for some keyfobs.
  3. This is a new version of the stamp which has the girl left raised rather than impressed. And I added some texture around it.
  4. I just saw the topic by Cowboy Don on his mud flap girl wallet. Great job! I really like the way the 'girls' are embossed outward versus the pressed in silohuette I did here. I think if I simply invert the artwork I will get the same effect. Sounds like a revision is in order. I liked the devil tail as well.
  5. For those of you who saw my NoBama stamp, thanks for the comments. Obviously it is too hot a topic for LW, as the post was deleted.
  6. Hello. well I've done a few stamps for others on here. I do them, but prefer to leave that to the professionals. I don't charge much and prefer to make my silly topic stamps which I can put on eBay and (maybe) sell some multiples. Once I have artwork done, I can reuse it all I want. On maker stamps it's a one time deal. Just take a look at some of the others I've posted. But if you have a drawing, just email me and I'll see what I can do. The stamps I make are mostly for use with a shop or arbor press. I have modified the backs on others so they can be used with a TLF hefty handle so they are also usable as a hammer stamp, although best results are still with a press. Cheers!
  7. Hello. Yes it is a delrin stamp I made and is laser engraved. I can make enough for everyone until I run out of plastic. I will make them free to anyone here, just pay the the postage which is $1.96. Cheers!
  8. The stamp says it all. This will be available for FREE to anyone wanting to get the message out.
  9. Well Yeah - I said it was delrin.
  10. How's this for an American icon. 1.25" high, engraved delrin stamp.
  11. Here is a new stamp I finished. It is a generic rope edge circle. As you can see it is used to border other 3d stamps or initials. I think I'll use it a lot for keyfobs and such. This is a delrin stamp and is laser engraved. Cheers!
  12. I was just looking for something new to do, so I did these pinwheel stamps. These are delrin stamps and roughly 1.25 inches high. I think it will be good on keyfobs, belts, and some spur straps. Cheers!
  13. Got a new helper. I've started dreaming of a day off again.

  14. I'm happy I could help. I'm glad he liked the holster, and I hope he asks you to make hundreds more so you can get the most out of the stamp.
  15. USMC BLK is termed as a blue-black color. It has a nice sheen when making military or police garb. The BLK dye is a brown-black color for a very opaque dark black.
  16. I was also having withdrawals. Where you all been?

    New Stamp

Thank you I'm glad you can laugh with me. The stamp is a delrin stamp and laser engraved. while it is mostly intended with a press, I also modify the back so it can be used with a hefty handle. If you're truely interested, just email me and I'll send you the particulars. Otherwise I'm sure it will be on eBay in the next few days. Cheers!

    New Stamp

ok, the new stamp isn't politically correct but then neither am I.
  19. Here is one I just finished for a young guy in our neck of the woods. It's 1.25" and made of delrin.
  20. Hello, If by studs you mean rivets, here is a short video which may help: http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/Setting-Rivets.aspx
  21. I like both Universal Laser systems and Epilog. Both have a 'trophy shop' model that is probably under $4k. I personally went with the ULS and the deciding factor was the rotary fixture. For the type of hollow vessels I was turning, it seemed to work better. The other thing to look at is table size, but the price of both models goes up with that. In both cases, even the small models have enough laser power to do leather. A mere 20 watts is all that is necessary to engrave leather. Ok, now metals like brass is a different matter. At <50 watts, metal can be marked (as in the serial number tags attached to any electronics these days). If you actually want to engrave (cut/remove) metal, you have to step up to one of the larger models that include a beam compressor. Basically, it puts more heat at the same point with the same amount of power. This is done by changing the frequency of the laser beam and some fancy optics. this really moves the price of these from the 4 digit range to the 5 digit range. Hope that helps.
  22. Well, I lost my helper. Guess that means there wont be any vacation in my near future.

  23. well mesquite has a great density on par with ebony, but it doesn't have the natuarally occurring oil that a wood like cocobolo (actually silicate) produces. Used with a little wax, it will probably work.
  24. It's deja vu all over again. I had the same experience. They should really put a warning label on the stuff - "A little goes a long way. A lot explodes into a really long way"
