It should be available through Tandy by now! http://www.willghorm...r.com/1911.html (PATTERN PACK PIC) http://www.willghormley-maker.com/OWC.html (HOME SITE) http://leatherworker...showtopic=36576 (old post)
  2. I hope that was a photostock pic!!!!!!!!!!... Not to be "that guy"...so sorry in advance...But, the S is upside down:( I do it sometimes as well, and also 3's backwards for some reason...that is how it popped out to me:) I really don't like nit picking and I am sure you noticed it following a AAAHHHHHHHH SSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHH, right after:) hahaha
  3. Ok Mike, Lets get rolling on the Feb challenge! Any ideas??? What the next one is going to be, or are you going to wait till after Valentines day? I liked everyones Eagles. If anyone out there ever needs original artwork just let me know! I am sure we can work something out:)
  4. Still looking for someone near Ft. Bragg in Fayetteville N.C. to go see Mr. Wilson.
  5. If you make a bottom piece like I said and lace it to the sides, you won't even need to rivet it. Top Sides Bottom 2-21/2" wide Lace all together with 1/4" lace
  6. I like these cut out belts. I get asked to make them from time to time, but never do it. Yours looks VERY NICE!
  7. Very Nice! Liked it plain, but now that it is painted it is even better!
  8. This is for one of my closest friends, and is a disabled veteran Airborne Ranger. I know he really wants me to make this for him. But I may have to find one of you that are near the Ft. Bragg area to help me out with this one! If I can't get an exact replica or training gun for it, then I may ask one of you to go see him at his shop. Let me know if there is someone here from Ft. Bragg that can be trusted to do this for Mr. Wilson. Maybe we can work something out so we both do this for him. Thanks to yall for your input!
  9. This is exactly why I post questions! I have to have my client give me the serial # so I can verify before I make a holster for that gun....he should know! I will ask more questions. Thanks:)
  10. Uberti .45 long colt with a 5" barrel Does anyone have a good source for this Blue Gun? I need it shipped to Finland.
  11. I grew up in Florida, and I hate the heat. I tour Texas almost every summer with my band since my bass player is from Schulenburg but here the weather is amazing in the summer, I should be in Fla for winter, but it just never seems to work out that way...
  12. Ya I am in Helsinki, a little further south than you, and closer to the sea, so it is a little warmer here. Now temp reads -26 here on the thermometer on my window... But none the less..AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I love the snow! I love driving in the snow! The kids love it, but I am ready for some sunlight and at least +10 +15 weather!
  13. THAT IS REALLY AWESOME!
  14. There's my Makers Mark...MY MOM AND DADS NAME!!!!!!!!
  15. -22c right now! Just went out to warm up the car...battery was almost dead..almost:) I have a Volvo 850 for the winters, awesome in the snow, not as much fun as my old 240 was, but makes my wife feels much better with the kids in the car. Plus it is way more updated than the 240 was:) Leather and heated seats and it starts every time...hahahah Got the motor heater and inside car overnight heater all plugged in... OMG IT IS CCCOOOOLLLLLLLDDDDDD! I can't wait for Spring! The kids love it but, they don't understand how dangerously cold it is outside, had to drag them home from the park kicking and screaming!

  20. Yayou got it...I would suggest one more thing...Make the wholes in the side strip first, then wrap and form it to the sides then place you top on and using a stylus or pencil mark how the whole are going to be on the top fro the sides...if you can get what I m saying....CBRTRSHR is right I am exhausted...I hope I am helping more than f'n you up right now...hahahah 1. Meassure sides pieces.. 2.Make your holes every 5mm 3.Wet Form The sides 4 Place carved top and Mark where the wholes are going to line up 5.Now that you piece is wet formed you can still figure out a creative way to tool it K.I.S.S..... Ya I need coffee:)hahaha more later in what one might call understandable words and complete sentences... OMG! OK... Hopefully you haven't taken off he old vinyl yet.... Take an ink pad and wipe it on the top really well then, on a heavy card stock press the seat down on the paper, this should give you a very good outline for the top! THAT IS THE SECRET TO FIGURING OUT THE TOP PIECE! It will save you a lot of heartache trying to figure it out! Then on the edge of the bottom do the same for the bottom piece. Measure 2" around the outline to the inside and cut out the middle, this way you don't have to keep wet forming the sides around the bottom! So you have a top , a bottom , and a side that wraps around, you may even cut the side in 2 pieces to help make it a little easier! You just have to disassemble the bottom of the seat so you can make the mark, take off the post and springs...if possible! Are you pickin' up what I'm puttin' down? You should still be able to tool the sides even with a wet form, after you put it all together, just do a little more work to make the stamps/knife work come back to life! OK carry on:)
  21. Cut a top and tool it, then cut a strap for the sides to lace the sides to the top cut a bottom that is about 2" and rivet it to the bottom of the seat...easy as pie:) Make a copy of the top (with the leather up side don so the good top is facing down:)and take the wing divider and spread it 2" and trace the outside and cut out the middle. You can tool the heck out of the top, side and bottom:) That is how I would do it and have done many, many times for bicycles. You may have to shape the foam a bit to make it a lot more flat or add some for the sides...
  22. Have you made a seat for that shovel yet?
  23. Cool I will check that out! It may be to far for the swivel bvlr, the head of the tiny flat head is gone, I think it has well over 40-50+ years of almost everyday use on it and it is still going strong, but again it may be so dull that I don't know any better if I got a new one I might just be like OMG what have I been doing all these years..hahahah But I feel it is a way to use the tool and feel like I am being helped in some way by my dad ...sounds sappy, but that tool especially means a lot to me. I have used it since I can remember some of my first memories. My son who is now 3 has been using it since he was 1.5 yrs old or at least when he showed an interest in sitting in my lap watching what I have been doing. I am sure my dad was the same...I can remember that anyway:) I wasn't allowed to use the swivel knife yet and neither is my son, but in time he will, and prob remember the same as I do....
  24. Ya I think I see a lot of tattoo guys wanting one in the near future. My deal with artists is if they don't want to pay me the retail value, then they owe me just as long as I put into it in INK! From start to total finish that is 12 hrs, includes design and art,and figuring out how to do the straps for a left handed guy without interfering with the artwork. Plus gas and time spent tracking down quality Brass parts. So maybe 14 hrs....So in the end after I explain that to them, they probably just want to hand me the 300 I want for the leather:) Instead of tattooing me 2-3 sittings for a few hours at a time. There are 3 guys I make stuff for and we trade ink for leather all the time. I have so many tatts, it has been hard for me as an artist to figure out what I want , so I just let them pick what they have been wanting to tattoo since they rarely have the opportunity to just have free rein. As long as it goes with all my other old/new school classic tatts, I prefer the classic modern spins... But a lot of my stuff is just black and red, with some hints of blue or green, that is what I like. Sailor Jerry type stuff, but a little updated as far as color choice.
