  5. if you are going to do hand stitching on thick leather get your self some sewing palms your hands will thank you! check out Zack White leather company on line they have good prices on stamps and swivel knifes thand is more expensive on some items and cheaper on others if you getreally heavily involved it would be worth your while to join the wholesale club or if you have a tax number you can get wholesale pricing too.
  6. good quality work takes time Gun leather and some ladies hand bags Wallets and some saddle bags is what I want to get set up to do. any leather goods that will sell at swap meets, the occasional gun show and flea markets. I figured with winter coming on would be a good time to start some projects. what kind of leather goods would you recommend for this type of market places? I think I can find a market for some cowboy rigs for the old C&B revolvers. I had a couple thousand dollars in leather tools back when I was a teen and early 20's then I sold all of it to a saddle maker i worked for as a kid. todays prices would be more like 5 grand in tools, that included a good sewing machine too, now I am trying to buy a few tools at a time here and there as i need them. so much for 20/20 hind sights you can rack up a lot of money in stamps really quick so I just buy what is the most commonly used stamps, however I would like to have a selection like you have..

  10. how about a Ruger 1022 and a bunch of hi cap mags and 22 LR ammo is compact so you can carry thousands of rounds without much trouble and a Ruger MK II target model for point blank and back up a good ol street howitzer and a couple of C&B Remington navy models would kill zombies in style tho BTW my REmington C&B revolver would look good in that holster!

  14. Hello Everyone I was performing a google search for holster patterns when this forum was one of the results I think I can learn a lot about leather work here so I registered. I piddle around now and then making miscellaneous things out of leather and made several holsters and also worked for a saddle maker when i was a teenager so I learned a few things back then I have always wanted to make some nice hand made and hand stitched holsters and now that I have time on my hands I am going to do just that. ifn any one can point me in the direction of some authentic holster patterns that will fit the 1851 colts and 1858 Remmys would be awesome I know Tandy has a vast library but I was goung to check and see if there were any one offering some freebies first going to need some help with which which are the most basic and essental stamps for carving Thanks!
