  1. Thank you! I've been about as busy as this retired guy wants to be..... I visit so many sites that I sometimes forget to stop by on this one. This is the only leatherworking site that I frequent, but I like to hang out on some of the pistol forums.
  2. I haven't posted any holsters lately, so I thought I'd put up a couple of recent builds
  3. Nice job, Jack..
  4. I do almost precisely as Jimbob.
  5. Yep, I'll give you a call next week, Bob. I appreciate all the ideas and thoughts, folks. This forum has been an invaluable tool for me....
  6. That's not a bad idea. Thanks for the thought, tnawrot..
  7. Thanks folks. I guess I'll keep on the lookout for something that will work for me. Sound like I'll pass on the CB2500..
  8. Pappy, why not holsters? Will the smaller machine not make sharp corners? Is it a speed thing? Please explain..
  9. Folks, I currently have a CB4500 and love it. We have a second residence and I'm thus thinking seriously about buying another machine for those months that we spend away from our primary residence. I've also thought seriously about dismantling my CB4500 enough such that I can haul it to our other residence, but the thought of having a separate machine is sounding good to me. Obviously, I can save significant money going with a CB2500 (or equivalent), but will I be disappointed? I primarily build holsters and gun belts.
  10. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  11. The CB4500 is an awesome machine. There was definitely a learning curve, but once you have things dialed in, its a beast. I'm very happy with my purchase from Bob at Toledo..
  12. USMC, I stitch with a CB4500 from Bob at Toledo Sewing Machine..
  13. Here's a couple of units I did recently. .
  14. Thanks Jake. I'll give that a try..
  15. This is precisely what I do. No website and don't want one. Having said that, however, I don't make holsters and gunbelts to make a living. Its a hobby that pays for itself and funds a new pistol every now and then. Lately, I've been turning more work down than I except....and I'm ALWAYS busy..
  16. Nice work, Matt. Looks like that back panel comes down and follows the contour of the holster??
  17. Jake...there's a dust collection port on the back of the machine. I have mine hooked right into my Jet dust collector
  18. I too think you did the right thing, Renegade..
  19. IMHO....one has to be pretty rough on things to deform that clip to the point of remaining opened halfway. I've 'personally' used those clips on my own IWB holsters for a long time and have never had an issue. The only thing I can think of is if the clip was not right from the factory..
  20. I've owned one of these for years and love it. I use it for all sorts of things, leather just being one of them. Its both a belt sander as well as spindle sander and changing between modes takes seconds. http://www.ridgid.com/tools/oscillating-edge-belt--spindle-sander/en/index.htm
