That is very nice. I can't even imagine trying to figure out how to do one of those.

Just started this Tri-Fold wallet for one of my customers. He has owned this service station for 35 years and asked me to put this old picture on his wallet. Other than the name of the station all the other info on the door is the same including the phone number. It was quite a challenge to get all the lettering on the door. I will post more pictures after it is painted and completed.

Welcome from Independence, Mo. This is a great forum. I have learned a tremendous amount of knowledge from reading this forum and am producing much improved results from following the advise and tips here. I also spend about half of the year in Stevenson, Wa. In the Columbia River Gorge and always take my leather working tools while I'm there, in fact I just returned from there last week.

I purchased a cast iron Tippmann Boss a few weeks ago. I think I have read every post about the machine on this forum and most are on the negative side, especially for those that just purchased them. I wanted to post some positive comments about mine. I did have some issues the first night I brought it home, but wasn't upset at all. I figured I would have Tippmann go through it if I couldn't figure it out. The machine had not been used for about 4 years and you could tell by looking at it. The next morning I bought some good sewing machine oil and partially disassembled it and lubed it and cleaned it all up. I set the tension like Tippmann's video showed and it worked like a brand new machine with the exception of my occasional short strokes. I have completed several pieces with it and it has performed flawlessly. I hope no one takes this as rubbing salt in the wound, I just wanted to report some positive comments about the machine. I also attribute accelerating my learning curve on the machine to all the helpful comments from the forum members advise to those that have had problems. This has been a great forum and I have benefitted from it greatly. Clint

Very nice looking. -
Here is a checkbook cover I just finished for a customer. She insisted that I incorporate Betty Boop in it some where. I decided the checkbook would look shabby with the rose and Betty Boop on the outside, so I decided to make the pocket out of veg tan and put Betty on the pocket. It will only be seen if she decides to show it to someone.

Very nice. I really like the color and the design. Clint -
I really like what you did with the barbed wire. It really does look like real wire attached to the belt. Job well done. Clint

My First Wallet Cover

That turned out very nice, especially for that thin of leather. It shows great depth. Clint -
Just found this site a few days ago. I used to do a little leatherwork back in high school days but never got very good. I sold all of my tools about 50 years ago and just decided to get back into leatherwork last December. I am retired and was looking for something to do. I bought a beginners kit from Tandy and took their beginner classed last December and have not looked back. I don't mind doing floral projects but wanted to to a lot of different things besides floral carvings. I have amazed myself with some of the things I have done as I have never really done or tried anything artistic. Here are my last two projects. Clint
