  1. Hi guys I'm a complete newb to the sewing machine so I followed a lady on YouTube. Who showed how to thread the machine as for felt pad I didn't notice one but always oil the machine before I use it . I will try your suggestions and report back ASAP thanks for taking the time to reply

Hi guys I have just acquired one of these little beauties ,however I'm having some difficulty s , sometimes the needle doesn't hit the whole were the needle goes through , the machine jams suddenly or the. Cotton breaks its been converted to a hand crank by previous person who had it .i just started my first tote bag but its messing the leather up as the thread gathers underneath then having to unpick the stitching re sew the leather is looking more like a tea bag than a tote lol any advice would be appreciated By the way the first thing I did when I got it was tighten all the wobbly bits like screws ect on crank mechanism and oiled it

  5. Hi guys I have been ill for a while and not done nothing for quite a bit but here is. Filter holder I made a days ago not quite finished needs a clean up ect

To be honest Im very bacteria conscious how ever when the advice regarding bed bugs ut got me paranoid and itching for days I washed the leather at 40 degrees and tumble dried it for two hours on high heat I then bagged the leather in recycle bags and then put them into a storage tub ( rubber maid type of storage) then sanitised my whole home including tumble drier and washing machine Its even roughly two weeks since washing and drying the leather I'm going to leave it another week before checking for bugs and I'm wondering if the risk and effort are worth it in comparison to buying leather you know is clean and doesn't carry risk
  7. No I had stripped the leather from the frame ect but just was concerned over mites,scabies ect
  8. How did you guys sanatize the leather incase of mites ect in the furniturs
  9. Hi guys I have salvaged an old leather sofa it's good quality furniture leather but before I bring it into to house to be stored is their. A way to sanatize it without ruining the leather The leather is going to be recycled into soft leather items

  12. As far as I'm aware you only need to make seven changes to the original design to avoid any opyright issue

  14. Thanks I don't have a skiving tool but have a grooving tool a couple of passes with that seems to be ok
  15. This makes it clearer thanks for the tip o on the glue situation I'm not overly happy with leather weld myself

  19. I brought a delux starter kit from Tandy the projects were terrible nothing lined up but what I paid for it I have enough tools to get me started so for tools alone it was ok. I'm going to look at these company's that have been suggested by others as I'm in the uk as well
  20. Hi guys my first project was an epic fail but I bit the bullet dyed the price but I'm really not happy is their anything I can use to strip the colour off and try again Any advice welcome
  21. Wow your wallet looks good I've just started my first wallet and ivenmessed up bevelling and I have over worked the leather so don't feel to bad
