In front divider is a pocket for cell phone, one for keys, and I for pens. I'll get more pictures.sometime I have trouble posting them,im sure it's me.

  5. That bag is very very nice, you can see the work and love that went into making that bag for your mom.
  6. made this bag over the holidays for my daughter who came home from school. like the gentleman that made the tote bag, this was my first one, made a lot of mistakes but everyone liked it so now my wife wants one. monica what do you think , lady at jo ann fabrics picked out cotton liner that I glued in and hand sewed.
  7. I like the guy that did the tote bag, made this bag for my daughter over the holidays , she came home for school and begged me to make her a bag. I did this bag in one week and made a lot of mistakes but she loved the bag. the tote bag was nice so please don't give up I know I am going to keep trying after all belts get old, I am sure monica will give us great advice , I went to Jo Ann fabrics and ask some lady for help with the liner and she said to use cotton so I bought a yard and glued it in and hand sew the bag. Now my wife wants one.
  8. I like it, you did good,I am doing belts and holsters but my daughter wants a messenger bag so I'm going to try it my problem is the same as yours my leather is probably to thick.I hope my bag is as nice as yours, keep trying belts and holsters Is not enough.
  9. Very nice, makes me want to start doing wallets
  10. I wished you lived closer we could do some rides and share leather projects.my friends and I went out west this year.the ride was almost 7000 miles.I stopped in springfield, no at springfield leather.that wallet would go good with my harley belt
  11. That is awesome,I would love to see a belt made like that wallet. I really enjoyed seeing your work,
  12. Two sided tape home depot , left over piece of belt, paint stick or any piece of thin wood. The pictures saysit all .

  14. If you do alot of belts with letter stamping your really going to like it
  15. Thank you letters come out right on the money and fun to make for a few dollars.
  16. I thought I would take my time and improve on the first jig. I took some old knobs and slotted the would about 1/4 inch so to get the belt a little tighter to the wood. I used 5 1/2 inch by 12 inch popular cut by home depot 2.09 $ , 1 1/2 inch by 12 inch strip and used the aluminum strip for a guide. I quickly set all this up to take the pictures. very accurate and more sturdy, springfield leather makes a small tool to fit over stamp to keep stamp from any problems with pressing stamps. harbor freight 60 dollar 3 ton press. belts come stamped right on the money.
  17. The jig is very accurate , there is 1/16 inch play and and i forgot to hold belt against edge to take out the play. I am going to add another adjustment plate on other side to take the play out. I put about 5 letters on and press one at a time. You will be thrilled with the results. Easy to make and. Very compact im makind a new one with a lip on the edge to hold the leather , ill post a few pictures
  18. ray, thanks for the reply , wait till you see the new one I am making, almost the same but the outer edge will be 1/2 angle aluminum, I drilled the holes and put them in a small table jig saw and finished cutting the slots.
  19. Nice job on the holster and belt. I like that holster a lot. the profile looks like the gun would be nice and close to the body. Is that color on the holster a standard color.
  20. nice holsters, the colors look great and the stitching to me looks really good. thanks for posting the pictures .
  21. I got tired of having to line up letters on belt so I made this jig from some plywood and aluminum from home depot and slotted the one piece to adjust for center of belt. letters are perfect everytime. I going to put another piece of aluminum on other side and slot that to. I hope someone will be able to benefit from this I know it helped me a lot. On this belt I made letters closer to the bottom, that's why the letters look like they are off.
  22. Twinoaks you are right on all accounts,I'm seeing slot of things that should be changed. The stitching should be closer, better strap design for snaps,I really don't like that idea, the second holster has a good tight fit, believe it or not but the gun is easy to grip. thanks to you and many others on this forum have made me a better leather worker and for this I thank you and please continue to give your advice because that's how I'm going to get better.
  23. I like the holster , a friend of mine wants something just to carry in his jacket , I like your holster and I'm going to make your style for him. thanks for the pictures.
